The Controls Room Team is seeking passionate Vice President to lead a skilled team of data/visualization experts in the creation of compelling and comprehensive Executive Reporting solutions. As an Executive Reporting Solutions VP within the Control Management Controls Room Team, you will be responsible for driving a variety of work, including but not limited to overseeing the production of Executive Reporting and managing complex regulatory requests. You will be responsible for overseeing the development of material that draws attention to key areas of focus, facilitates discussion, and enhances senior leaders' decision-making. As a team, we offer analytics and comprehensive automated reporting solutions for the Control Management organization. Our broader team consists of subject matter data experts and product owners, and we drive the development of solutions such as innovative dashboard and UI-based tools that provide useful insights for varied audiences.
Job Responsibilities
- Reporting Development & Publication:
- Manage the end-to-end development of executive level compliance & operational risk data reporting, from technical data extraction to designing high-impact reports
- Oversee the publication of reporting for key committees, meetings, and senior audiences, which are used for escalation, to draw attention to key areas of focus, facilitate discussion, and enhance decision-making
- Present key findings and recommendations to Senior Management, facilitating informed decision-making
- Oversee preparation of materials for Regulatory Meetings to summarize the key focus areas and important updates; Manage ad-hoc and regulatory data requests
- Data Analysis:
- Analyze complex data sets with technologies like Alteryx/Python or SQL compile data, validate analysis, generate actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making
- Provide subject matter expertise and impact analysis of data model changes to influence the end to end implementation across the Controls Room teams
- Have comprehensive understanding of source data to meticulously validate and ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports
- Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:
- Design & opine on basic mock-ups based on stakeholder reporting needs and requirements; Engage internal stakeholders and technology experts in collaborative discussions, capturing intricate requirements and delivering innovative, automated solutions
- Lead and participate in various working groups to socialize reporting ideas, solicit feedback, identify best practices and opportunities for improved execution
- Manage and participate in multiple project workstreams (including MRAs & regulatory focused deliverables) concurrently to proactively enhance project outcomes, identify effective solutions, and mitigate issues
- Work closely with owners of related Standards to drive efficiencies and simplify requirements
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in reporting and data analytics, coupled with a quantitative background (BA/BS in Math, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience managing a team of direct reports
- Proficiency in analytical ETL tools such as Alteryx
- Able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions
- Proactive approach to problem solving and strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau and QlikView
- Experience in designing innovative and appealing visualizations
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility/accountability with minimal oversight
- Flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities; able to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment.
- Detail oriented with exceptional leadership and influencing skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills will enable you to effectively engage and collaborate with a senior audience and individuals across diverse functional groups and hierarchical levels, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts and experience in financial services is preferred
- Experience with tools such as SQL and Python is a plus
