THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Contractor Outreach Specialist to join our Onboarding Team. In this role, you will be instrumental in fostering engagement between current VelocityEHS customers and their contractors.
The Contractor Outreach Specialist is responsible for conducting outbound outreach calls to prospective contractors, guiding them through registration, and supporting them through the onboarding process. This role combines salesmanship, problem-solving, and customer relationship building - critical skills for success. You will collaborate closely with the Onboarding Manager, who is responsible for a 90-day onboarding journey for the customer (each contractor's client), keeping them informed about contractor registration progress, assist in resolving any issues to ensure contractors are fully onboarded and compliant with their client's compliance requirements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, and texts to prospective contractors.
  • Communicate the value proposition of our platform clearly and persuasively.
  • Own the contractor contact process for the VelocityEHS Contractor Safety Solution:
    • Investigate missing or incorrect contact information using creative sourcing (e.g., Google, LinkedIn, association directories, online contractor databases).
    • Re-engage contractors using alternative phone numbers, emails, or social channels.
  • Assist contractors through the sign-up and payment process.
  • Overcome objections and solve contractor concerns in real time.
  • Meet and exceed monthly registration targets.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of outreach activities in CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with teammates to help the broader team meet or exceed collective goals.


Minimum Skills and Qualifications

  • 0-2 years experience in call center, inside sales, recruitment, or onboarding/success/support roles.
  • Strong resourcefulness, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset - able to pivot and find solutions fast.
  • High energy, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume outreach environment.
  • Customer-centric, self sufficient and dependable.
  • Tech-savvy - familiar with Salesforce, MS Teams, and O365 platforms.


Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment.
  • Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Gainsight, Outreach).
  • Knowledge of EHS and ESG regulations, best practices, and industry trends is a plus.

VelocityEHS is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices by offering market-based salary ranges. The expected on-target earnings (OTE = base salary + variable) range for this position is between $72,868 and $90,118 USD (United States) or $78,492 and $96,744 CAD (Canada), with variable earning opportunities uncapped. We aim to hire between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range and offers at the maximum of the range are uncommon. The final offered salary will be based on candidate's proficiency in skill set, prior relevant experience, internal equity, market considerations, and other factors. This role is eligible for a Variable Pay Program.
