Your role and responsibilities:

As Xanadu’s Content Team Lead, you will be helping to bring quantum computing—a cutting-edge society-transforming technology—to the world. Focusing primarily on our open-source software PennyLane, your expertise will help Xanadu increase public awareness of quantum computing, engage with a community of passionate scientists and developers, and expand a fun and accessible brand image. 

In this role, you will:

  • Establish high-level strategy for content directed at a specialized technical audience.
  • Plan and execute successful content campaigns based on outputs from Xanadu’s product, development, and research teams.
  • Coordinate the content creation process, involving content creators, development teams, and various stakeholders.
  • Participate actively in all aspects of the content development process (ideation, writing, visuals, review, etc.)
  • Lead a team which regularly produces compelling, engaging, and shareable content.

Basic qualifications and experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in a STEM discipline (e.g., Physics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering).
  • 4+ years experience creating internet-based content.
  • Comfortable with techniques for improving traffic and engagement (e.g., search-engine optimization, product marketing).
  • Ability to develop content strategy and roadmap based on industry trends and company priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising others.
  • Clever and engaging communication style.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Sharp attention to detail.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Graduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Physics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Psychology, English).
  • 2+ years experience with content creation in a related field (science, education, software)
  • First-hand understanding of the field of quantum computing.
  • Experience leading a team (hiring, development, establishing culture, providing feedback)
  • Comfortable with programming in Python.
  • Basic familiarity with tools and methodologies used by other teams and stakeholders (e.g., GitHub, Figma, Canva, Agile Development).
