About CoLab

At CoLab, we help mechanical engineering teams bring life-changing products to market years sooner.
CoLab is the AI platform for driving stronger engineering decisions. Every design review in CoLab builds a knowledge repository of design feedback, decisions, and lessons learned -- which AI agents draw from to flag issues on future designs before they compound. The more your team works in CoLab, the smarter it gets and the faster you arrive at the ideal design. Companies like Ford, Komatsu, and Johnson Controls use CoLab to catch issues earlier, eliminate rework cycles, and bring products to market faster.
Founded in St. John’s, Newfoundland, CoLab has grown quickly from our first customer in 2019 to a rapidly scaling company. We’ve recently been recognized on Deloitte’s Fast 50™ and Fast 500™, and named a Canadian company to watch by The Globe and Mail and Financial Post.

About the Role

We’re investing in a small number of high-quality, recurring content series that serve engineering leaders and technical decision-makers. As Content Systems Architect, your job is to own the execution and growth of those series — not by writing content yourself, but by building AI-powered systems.

You’ll work closely with our CMO to define the guardrails and positioning for each series. From there, your role is to turn that vision into a repeatable production engine. That means thinking like both a media producer and a systems designer.

For each series, you’ll map the production workflow:

  • Where ideas come from
  • How we capture expertise from SMEs
  • How content is structured and written
  • How it’s distributed and improved over time

Then you’ll work with our internal AI and GTM systems team to design and operationalize a team of agents that support those steps.

Once the system is running, you’ll act as Editor in Chief: orchestrating AI agents and applying editorial judgment across outputs. Ultimately, each series is a product, and you own the outcomes. Success means growing an audience for each series, and growing CoLab’s brand in the process.

Our Ideal Candidate

You want to own something that matters: not random blog posts, not “supporting content.” A flagship series — the kind that builds a brand. You look at Gong Labs or Carta’s Data Desk and think: I want to be the person who owns that.

You’ve created content yourself, so you know what good looks like. But you’re just as excited about building AI-powered systems that help you ship better content (and more of it). At CoLab, you’ll have access to strong subject matter experts, real company buy-in, and an internal team building AI-powered go-to-market systems. You’ll collaborate with them to design the workflows that power your series.

If you want to get paid to build the AI-driven content system that other B2B SaaS companies spend the next 5 years copying, this is that opportunity.

Job Responsibilities
  • Own the execution and growth of two flagship content series
  • Work with the CMO to refine positioning, format, and audience strategy
  • Design repeatable workflows for content production and distribution
  • Collaborate with the internal AI/GTM systems team to implement AI-powered production workflows
  • Direct the process of generating insights from SMEs, research, and internal data
  • Evaluate and refine AI-generated outputs to maintain a high editorial bar
  • Coordinate across Product Marketing, Demand, Design, and external partners
  • Develop distribution strategies that grow audience engagement over time
  • Track performance and continuously improve the system behind each series
Qualifications
  • 4+ years experience in content marketing, editorial, or media roles
  • Proven track record of producing high-quality B2B content
  • Strong editorial judgment and ability to recognize compelling narratives
  • Experience working with technical subject matter experts
  • Systems thinker who can break complex work into repeatable workflows
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Curiosity about AI and how it can transform content production

Bonus:

  • Experience marketing to engineering, manufacturing, or technical audiences
  • Experience running recurring content programs or editorial series
  • Familiarity with AI tools or workflow automation tools
  • Experience working with media or publishing partners
Extra Details
  • Full-time, permanent position with competitive compensation and stock options
  • Unlimited PTO
