Job Description
ForeFlight is looking for an exceptional writer and content marketing professional with a passion for aviation and a talent for producing engaging, innovative content to support our General Aviation sector. The ideal candidate will have prior experience and/or knowledge in aviation, as well as strong technical writing skills.
We're looking for someone who loves producing creative written marketing content in a range of formats, including website product pages, video scripts, email newsletters, marketing collateral, blog articles, advertising copy, video scripts, brochure copy, and social media posts. Additionally, the candidate should be proficient in technical writing and be able to clearly communicate complex product features and easy-to-follow instructional content.
In addition, our extremely fast pace of development and highly-technical focus require that a candidate be an exceptional and enthusiastic learner, someone who eagerly dives into new app features, seeks out small details, and isn't afraid to ask whatever questions are necessary to arrive at a complete understanding of a feature's function and value to the customer.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Support primary marketing/communications needs for the General Aviation market and others by creating and writing key marketing materials, including but not limited to writing copy for website pages, printed collateral, event signage, marketing and event presentations, social media posts, blog articles, video scripts, advertising copy and other corporate communication projects as assigned.
  • Develop email marketing campaigns, including crafting compelling subject lines, body content, and calls-to-action.
  • Conduct thorough copy editing and proofreading of marketing materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in messaging.
  • Support sales team by creating/writing/editing/updating sales collateral, presentations, and other related written materials, such as white papers and customer case studies.
  • Interview and collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts and customers to generate needed content.
  • Work with the content team to develop creative concepts and templates for the various content types enumerated above.
  • Conduct research and evaluation to identify and assess key events for exhibition opportunities that align with organizational goals.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Skills / Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years' experience in content marketing and copywriting, preferably in aviation and/or software-related fields.
  • Exceptional detail-oriented writing, copy editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Proven experience in technical writing and ability to translate complex technical information into user-friendly content.
  • Proven experience tailoring content to different personas and geographies.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to effectively plan, organize, and execute tasks within specified timelines.
  • General Aviation experience, aviation knowledge, and/or a pilot's license are highly preferred.
  • Strong speaking and writing skills in English required, additional language skills preferred.
  • Must submit a portfolio of work covering a range of writing formats.
