Who We’re Looking For
At ScalePad, we hire thoughtful builders who want their work to matter. Our roles are designed for people who thrive on driving impact, see ambiguity as an opportunity, and believe that raising the bar is a team sport.
We don’t bring people in to run playbooks. We hire people who want to rewrite them. And in this role, you’ll get to do that, while shaping the future of managed services for our global partners. (That’s what we call our customers.)
What is ScalePad
At ScalePad, we’re building more than software; we’re building confidence and clarity for the people who manage the technology businesses rely on every day.
Our mission: help MSPs evolve into MVPs (their clients’ most valuable partner). Our tools turn them from reactive service providers into strategic advisors through a consistent, scalable Customer Success motion.
Our product suite unifies risk insights, client planning, and service delivery so MSPs can have smarter conversations, show clients their value, and grow their revenue.
But our purpose goes beyond our software. We’re creating a workplace where curious, growth-minded people can do their best work, where ideas are valued, progress is shared, and everyone belongs. Together, we’re creating a future where MSPs don’t just keep businesses running, they help them thrive. We believe that when our partners succeed, we all do.
With offices in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, and Phoenix and a global-first mindset. ScalePad has grown into a category leader trusted by 12,000+ partners across 60+ countries. We’ve been recognized for our products and corporate culture by MSP Today, G2, and Great Place to Work™, to name a few.
About The Role
As a key contributor to the Marketing team, the Content Marketing Manager will own a variety of content projects across ScalePad, creating high-impact resources and compelling copy for different channels, formats, and products. You’ll help us define our strategy, manage the content creation process (from ideation through to promotion), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive brand authority, audience engagement, and pipeline.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be passionate about creating a breadth of content types for a technical, B2B audience (MSP owners and operators). But our Content Marketing team is in its infancy, so we’re looking for someone who’s excited not just to produce content, but to also build and shape the function behind it. You’ll help level up our department’s operations and improve the strategic impact of our work, reporting directly to our Director of Communications and Content for guidance and support.
If that sounds appealing to you, keep reading to learn more about the role.
Responsibilities
Get ready to go beyond order-taking. Your strategic responsibilities include:
- Content Strategy and Planning. You’ll help ideate content assets for our quarterly initiatives and shape content structure and briefs so resources meet our marketing goals and our audience’s needs. You’ll help us establish our point of view in the MSP space by contributing to thought leadership themes like Customer Success, Compliance Management, and more.
- Content Creation. You’ll own the end-to-end production of a variety of content marketing assets, like blogs, resources, guides, case studies, webinars, video scripts, and more. You’ll also do research and interview internal / external stakeholders to uncover the best insights possible to include in our resources.
- Content Promotion and Measurement. You’ll play a role in content distribution and discoverability, including tasks like managing the promotion plan for new assets, repurposing content for other channels, and contributing to our SEO strategies. You’ll also help optimize content for performance, with the goal of driving more engagement, conversion, and pipeline influence metrics.
- Copywriting Support. You’ll help bring our campaigns to life by offering writing and editing support to other teams — particularly, our Demand Generation and Product Marketing teams — helping us maintain and improve brand cohesion, content accuracy, and engaging messaging.
- Operational Management. This role will help us improve our internal operations — think outlining processes, supporting monthly reporting, or updating writing guidelines. You may also manage freelancers, technology, or external vendors our team relies on.
Your Strengths and Skills
We care about what you can do more than where you’ve done it. However, experience in the following areas will help you hit the ground running in this role:
- Several years of content marketing experience for B2B and/or technical audiences at a software start-up or scale-up
- Strong writing, editing, and research skills across a number of content types and channels (including links to or a portfolio of your best work).
- Strategic planning and ideation experience, helping shape content ideas and build workback plans for large assets.
- Creative marketing and promotion skills to ensure our content gets found.
- A track record of increasing content outputs and driving audience engagement with your work.
- Experience with common marketing tools, like website backends, project management tools, marketing automation tools, etc., will be helpful.
- Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance research, drafting, editing, and content repurposing workflows.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, including keyword research, search intent, and on-page optimization.
- Intellectual curiosity and an inquisitive nature that drives you to uncover the best ideas and insights for your projects.
- Strong collaboration and creative consultation skills for working productively across teams and improving the quality of content outputs.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and re-prioritize tasks based on urgency.
