Are you a strategic storyteller and brand leader passionate about shaping narrative and inspiring community support? SHARE Family & Community Services is seeking a Communications and Brand Manager to elevate our public profile, champion dignity-first messaging, and lead our communications strategy across the Tri-Cities.


The Role

Reporting directly to the Director of Development & Community Relations, you will serve as an operational management lead responsible for SHARE’s overarching communications strategy, brand oversight, public messaging, and storytelling. In this role, you will exercise discretionary judgment and independent authority to lead the Communications Department, manage designated budgets, and direct reports, creative agencies, media outlets, and contractors.


Key Impact Areas

  • Enforce brand strategy and governance across all programs, locations, and channels, serving as SHARE’s primary brand ambassador. Develop brand toolkits and oversee brand orientation for approximately 200 staff members.
  • Direct, hire, onboard, and evaluate communications personnel, while managing contracts and accountability for external creative agencies, freelancers, and technical vendors.
  • Partner with the Fundraising team to conceptualize and execute multi-channel communications for major appeals, campaigns, and signature events like our annual IMAGINE gala.
  • Dignity-First Storytelling: Establish trauma-informed guidelines for gathering participant impact stories, securing proper consent, and ensuring participant safety.
  • Oversee SHARE’s website, digital channels, and social media platforms. Manage press releases, media relations, and crisis communications while advising executive leadership on reputation management.
  • Design internal communication frameworks for organizational updates, strategic shifts, and change initiatives across departments.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, including 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proven experience managing brand implementation, team operations, and external creative contractors. Experience in a non-profit, social services, or public sector setting is a strong asset

Total Rewards

  • Starting Salary: $90,000 per year.

The Logistics

  • Classification: Full-time, Exempt.
  • Location: Primary operations based at SHARE locations in the Tri-Cities, with local travel for donor meetings, community events, and vendor sites.
  • Schedule: Full-time hours with occasional evening and weekend work required for key events and donor stewardship
  • Start Date: Immediately – we’re ready for you!
