The Communication Specialist is responsible for managing, creating, strategically planning and executing all external and internal communications across multiple channels and initiatives. External audiences include sponsors, investigators, patients, media partners, and industry stakeholders. He/she works closely with internal leaders, subject-matter experts (SMEs), agencies, and executive stakeholders to shape messaging, drive thought leadership, and ensure communications align with corporate objectives. As the communication specialist, you will be expected to keep up with the internal corporate strategy, with meticulous attention to detail, working well under pressure, and meeting deadlines. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, editorial judgment, scientific literacy, and the ability to manage a large volume of parallel initiatives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate & External Communications
- Responsible for all corporate communications to pharma and biotech companies (Sponsors), including website content, press releases, newsletters, executive communications, digital campaigns, podcasts, and long-form thought leadership assets.
Content Strategy & Thought Leadership
- Own and execute Indero’s thought leadership and content pipeline, including articles, white papers, checklists, listicles, interviews, and expert-led publications
- Lead multi-round editorial workflows (drafting, copy editing, SEO integration, SME coordination, revisions, and final approval)
- Translate complex scientific, clinical, and operational topics into clear, sponsor-focused narratives
Podcast & Multimedia
- Lead end-to-end podcast initiatives, including content strategy, guest sourcing, interview preparation, scripting, shownotes, episode descriptions, email launches, and social promotion.
- Coordinate recordings with internal leaders, external experts, media partners, and agencies.
- Repurpose podcast content into derivative assets (articles, newsletter, social content, landing page content)
Public Relations & Media
- Develop and manage PR including press releases, wire submissions, media briefs, interview preparation, and follow-ups with external PR partners.
- Coordinate multilingual translations and ensure consistency across global market.
- Support executive communications for announcements, interviews, strategic initiatives, and corporate milestones.
Cross-Functional & Agency Collaboration
- Act as trusted communications advisor to internal stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Clinical Operations, HR, and leadership teams.
- Coordinate closely with external partners and agencies (PR, SEO, design, media) to align timelines, messaging, and deliverables.
- Lead marketing initiative meetings and manage a high volume of parallel projects with minimal oversight.
Digital Channels, SEO & Campaign Execution
- Plan and execute recurring newsletters and campaign timelines
- Write and edit digital assets (emails, landing pages, social media posts, paid ads, website updates and landing pages)
- Apply SEO best practices across web and content assets in collaboration with external agencies
Quality & Operational Excellence
- Maintain rigorous editorial standards, brand consistency, and attention to regulatory sensitivity
- Ensure quality control across all deliverables and channels
- Proactively identify communication risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities
Internal Communications & Employer Brand
- Partner with HR on internal communications, including newsletters, town halls, change-management initiatives, and employer-brand campaigns.
- Develop employee-focused storytelling initiatives (profiles, internal campaigns, culture content)

IDEAL PROFILE
Education
- Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, public relations or a related discipline
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B communications, marketing or life-sciences communications.
Knowledge and skills
- Demonstrates creativity, rigor, and discernment and is a team player.
- Recognized for their ability to establish action plans in line with corporate objectives
- Strong scientific literacy and working knowledge of clinical research required
- Excellent ability to maintain interpersonal relationships
- Excellent communication, copywriting and English and French writing skills
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of concurrent, complex initiatives with senior stakeholders.
