Title: Co-op Student - Manufacturing Engineering - 110666
Primary Location: Canada (CA) - British Columbia - Langley
Function: Factory Engineering (CA)
Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position
This position is 8-month work term beginning in May 2025 and ending in December 2025.
Candidates applying for this position must be eligible to work in Canada.
You Responsibilities

  • Review Engineering BOMs, 3D models and quality specifications in order to translate the intent and expectation of the product design into the manufacturing process.
  • Use digital tools like NX, Visview, SAP, and Microsoft PowerPoint to create work instructions that effectively communicate how to assemble hydraulic, structural and electrical components at a production pace.
  • Implement cost effective tooling solutions for the Assembly, Paint and Material Handling teams by sourcing purchased products or developing custom designs.
  • Implement changes initiated by Safety, Quality or Design improvements.


What Skills You Need

  • Be in the process of obtaining a degree in Engineering.
  • Good computer skills; capable of working with MS Office, knowledge of 3D CAD.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing principles and how to read engineering drawings and BOM's.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Hands-on experience with machinery and power tools
  • Member of an extra-curricular team or project
  • A strong understanding of basic materials and mechanical principles.
  • A strong knowledge of current technologies which can be used in design projects.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills to recognize, define and set up problems so they can be tackled with science and math.
  • An effective researcher, learner, and self-educator.


Education

  • Preferably 2 years of University in Engineering.
