About the role

We’re looking for a Manager, Claims – Multiligne - Prestige, to join our growing team!

The position is national and requires occasional travel throughout Canada.
What you'll do here: 

  • Proactively manage workflow and resources for our national Prestige claims team to deliver second to none service to our high net worth customers exceeding their expectations, and to achieve national goals.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of business plans and manage day-to-day operations to achieve key business goals. 
  • Monitor customer and broker feedback, team engagement, financial performance and productivity and report monthly to appropriate stakeholders on progress towards specific goals and objectives. 
  • Develop, recommend, and implement strategies regarding all elements of our Prestige claims process, technology, vendors, and support functions to improve the overall performance and Prestige experience for customers, brokers, vendors, and our team.
  • Provide effective leadership by motivating staff, coaching and mentoring Unit Claims Managers in West, Ontario, and Quebec, performance management, continuous learning and career development for managers and other staff.
  • Act in a consultative and advisory capacity on claim matters such as policy interpretation and settlement negotiation and intervene where necessary with broker and customer escalations to help resolve claims related issues. 
  • Maintain a respectful and productive business relationship with vendors, service providers, other COEs and internal client groups.

What you bring to the table:

  • College diploma or university degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a management function.
  • Experience in managing a team of claims adjusters.
  • Experience in handling high-value claims (asset).
  • Bilingualism: French and English (asset).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff, internal and external customers.
  • Experience in coaching and developing staff.
  • Proficiency in a variety of PC software. 
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Positive attitude while adapting to changing priorities and taking ownership of work.
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

Salary of the successful candidate will typically be positioned between the following range, taking into consideration a number of factors including prior experience, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, location and internal equity:

$103 000,00 - $154 600,00
