About the role.
Reporting to the Director, Brand & Communications, as a Channel & Content Senior Specialist you will play a key role in managing and maximizing the potential of our internal communications channels-including our intranet, internal social media, email, and more. Helping to reach over 20,000 McCain team members around the world.
Grounded in our business priorities, you will also craft compelling content to ignite our McCain Foods corporate brand and related communication campaigns across our channels.
You'll be working with a dynamic and driven team, based in different locations-giving you a truly global experience.
In addition to overseeing content strategy, the role involves managing the technical aspects of our communication platforms to ensure seamless functionality and accessibility. This includes monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with IT to implement upgrades or enhancements as needed.

Compensation Package : $58,800.00 - $78,500.00 . CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility

What you'll be doing.
Channel management
- Manage our global internal corporate communications media plan.
- Manage day-to-day content/news requests, aligning with the media plan.
- Manage day-to-day posting of global content on our digital channels-internet, internal social media, email platforms, and more.
- Drive the strategy and day-to-day management of our internal communication channels-maximizing their potential based on insight and data.
- Report on channel and campaign performance (quant and qual data).
- Partner on synergies across our internal / external corporate communication channels.
- Partner on our talent recruitment channels to maximize their potential.
- Partner on the development of new channels or communications technology.
- Support the enablement of AI across our channels.
Content creation
- Active journalism within McCain, seeking out stories to amplify on our channels.
- Partner with the Internal Communications team to amplify campaigns across our internal channels (and with our external corporate social media team depending on the topic).
- Hands-on design and creation of content (short-form written, graphics, animation, video), supporting internal campaign activation.
- Drive to push our creativity and engagement to the next level, embracing creative tools and AI.
Execution excellence
- Ensure content is delivered on time and as planned.
- Ability to comfortably pivot and be responsive to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Actively track and report data on key metrics to gauge content and campaign success.
- Conceptualize and design visually stunning content, graphics, and communication materials.
- Drive efficiency, simplification, and effectiveness across everything we do.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality, accuracy, and creativity.
- Ad hoc deliverables to support Global HR and Communications goals.
What you'll need to be successful.
Qualifications
- Business or professional degree desirable, but not required.
Experience
- Exceptional communication skills and strong business acumen .
- Comfortable dealing with data, and ability to interpret into recommendations.
- Skilled in website and email platform management-or similar types of CMS.
- Hands-on experience creating engaging content-including strong design skills and short-form copywriting skills.
- Skilled and experienced in filming and video editing for content creation.
- Skilled in Microsoft, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (desirable), and AI tools to bring content to life.
