Orbital Technologies is a software development company located in Vancouver, BC. We specialize in developing custom software solutions on multiple platforms such as: Windows, Mac, Linux, UNIX, Android and iOS and across multiple development languages such as: C#, Java, Objective-C, C++, and SQL. We work with some of the world’s leading software vendors to develop software solutions that provide our clients with a competitive advantage in their marketplace.
We are looking to increase the size and capabilities of several of our existing teams. We are looking for experienced developers who have knowledge of C#, C++, and web based application development. Additional experience with Azure, SSO, web applications, cloud hosted applications, ASP .net, Entity Framework, SQL, etc. will be a definite asset. These positions require a strong design and development background, ability to work in a fast moving environment, good communications skills, outstanding rendering of designs to functional code, attention to quality, testability, and performance. With this client you will be working from our Vancouver office and using all the latest Microsoft .Net technologies, some still in Beta, and modern development methodologies. Knowledge and experience with unit testing frameworks and Test Driven Development is very desirable.
Candidates should have some or all of the following qualifications:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 4+ years experience in Windows web based, Enterprise-level commercial software development environment
• C# .Net and ASP .NET experience is required. C++ and SQL experience will be a definite asset
• Experience with ASP .Net, MVC pattern, entity framework, enterprise library, WCF, WPF, web services, Azure, SSO, JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS, and cloud hosted applications and services will be a definite asset
• Knowledge of unit test frameworks and Test Driven Development is very desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Superb customer-facing, time management, and organizational skills
• Strong initiative – must be able to work with a minimum of supervision
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Flexibility to work on different types of software development, as requested by our clients
• Passion to learn
• Drive to succeed
