Job Description

  

Job Summary:

Looking for an experienced Buyer to join our Supply Chain team and report to the Sr Purchasing Manager. This role will be responsible for procurement of goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.


Detailed Description:
Manage vendor relationships

  • Develop and analyze supply chain KPI reports
  • Negotiate competitive prices and actively participate in cost reduction efforts
  • Monitor supply markets and conduct market intelligence reviews
  • Support the development and execution of best-practice inventory management processes that will meet or exceed benchmarks
  • Execute and maintain the purchase order cycle 
  • Point of contact for all vendor communications and resolutions relating to quality issues
  • Review and manage supplier performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Execute purchasing activities related to the ECR process
  • Develop and review procurement policies and procedures as required
  • Monitor and maintain master data integrity
  • Coordinate international shipments to and from stocking location 
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of purchasing experience with 3+ of those years (ideally) with relevant experience in a manufacturing or a hi-tech electronics environment
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business or Engineering)
  • Completed or currently enrolled in: Supply Management Training, Production and Inventory Management certification, and/or APICS courses
  • Experience with strategic supply-chain activities such as supply planning, sourcing, contracts, and supplier performance management
  • Excellent computer skills, able to use Microsoft Office
  • Experience with ERP systems: SAP knowledge an advantage
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, complex problem-solving skills
  • Organized, self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Creative and resourceful
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to thrives in a highly collaborative environment
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of electronic procurement business and manufacturing procurement experience would be considered an asset
  • CPIM/CPP/SCMP certification an advantage

  

Salary Range:

$66,800.00-$89,100.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
