ABOUT THIS ROLECars Commerce Canada is building a new operational backbone: the CCC Hub — a centralized platform used across Sales, Operations, Finance, Product, SEM, VBDC, and OEM programs.
This Hub is not a reporting layer.
It is becoming a core operational system that will replace manual workflows, automate business processes, and support internal applications across the organization.
We are looking for a Business Operations Platform Owner (AI & Automation) to own, govern, and evolve this platform.
This role sits at the intersection of:
business operations
data governance
platform architecture
automation
AI-enabled system development
You will ensure the CCC Hub becomes a reliable, secure, and scalable system used daily by the organization — including workflows that impact finance, sales execution, and operational performance.
This is not a traditional analytics role.
This is a platform ownership and operational systems role.
You will work across all departments and help shape how the organization operates through internal systems.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS NOWCars Commerce Canada is transitioning from:
manual workflows
reporting-heavy processes
fragmented tools
…to a model powered by:
internal applications
automation
reusable data foundations
AI-assisted system development
structured governance
The CCC Hub will:
replace operational workflows
support finance-grade execution (including Order-to-Billing automation)
optimize cross-department processes
enable teams to build internal tools within a governed environment
This role ensures that transformation happens correctly, responsibly, and sustainably.
CORE OWNERSHIPYou will own and govern the CCC Hub as a core operational platform.
This includes:
maintaining platform architecture and standards
enforcing integration, data reuse, and security guidelines
approving how internal applications connect into the platform
ensuring reliability for workflows that impact finance, sales, and operations
evolving the platform as business needs change
Own the structure, integrity, and long-term evolution of the CCC Hub
Define and maintain platform rules:
user experience consistency
data architecture and reuse
application integration standards
security and access practices
Ensure new internal tools align with platform standards before integration
Maintain documentation and operational clarity
Business Intelligence Evolution & Reporting Transformation
Take ownership of existing reporting ecosystems, including Tableau and Looker Studio
Stabilize and improve current BI assets during the transition period
Ensure continuity of reporting while operational systems are introduced
Redesign reporting approaches using automation, AI-enabled systems, and operational tools
Replace static dashboards with systems that drive execution and workflows
Ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting and operational environments
Partner with business stakeholders to evolve reporting into decision and action platforms
Identify inefficiencies across departments
Redesign workflows using automation and AI-enabled approaches
Lead initiatives such as:
Order-to-Billing process automation
operational workflow optimization
reporting replacement through system-based execution
Guide teams in building responsibly within platform standards
Promote structured and prompt-based system development practices
Help internal builders integrate applications into the platform
Encourage innovation while maintaining governance
Improve operational efficiency
Reduce manual processes
Increase reliability of mission-critical workflows
Support scalable internal product development
You are:
systems-minded
detail-oriented
disciplined about structure and governance
proactive in identifying inefficiencies
comfortable challenging existing workflows
both a builder and a platform steward
You treat internal systems with the same rigor as financial systems:
auditable
reliable
documented
secure
scalable
AI is a toolset — not the strategy.
Execution and operational reliability matter most.
Systems thinker with strong operational discipline
Experience owning structured platforms, reporting ecosystems, or internal tools
Comfortable supporting mission-critical operational workflows
Strong attention to detail and governance
Ability to work across departments and challenge existing workflows constructively
Experience in environments such as:
internal platforms
automation ecosystems
data architecture and reporting systems
API-driven integrations
AI-enabled development environments
business intelligence and operational tooling
You do not need to be a traditional software engineer — but you must be a structured builder and system owner.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEWe welcome candidates from backgrounds such as finance, data, business intelligence, analytics, or operational systems.
Typical qualifications may include:
Degree in accounting, finance, data, engineering, business, or a related field
5+ years of experience in roles involving:
data and reporting
finance or FP&A
business intelligence
analytics or operational support systems
Experience supporting business decisions through structured data, reporting, or automation
Exposure to financial processes, reporting ecosystems, or internal operational tools
We value practical experience and systems thinking as much as formal credentials.
GROWTH MINDSET & EVOLUTION EXPECTATIONSThis role is designed for individuals ready to evolve beyond traditional data or finance roles into operational system ownership.
Success in this role requires:
curiosity for AI-enabled systems and automation
comfort moving beyond a reporting-focused identity
appetite for ownership of business-critical workflows
willingness to challenge and redesign how work gets done
interest in building systems that replace manual processes, not just analyze them
We are looking for individuals who want to help shape how the organization operates through platforms, automation, and AI-driven execution.
NOT A FIT IFYou prefer reporting over building
You avoid ownership of operational systems
You move fast but without structure
You treat AI as experimentation instead of execution
You are uncomfortable enforcing standards and governance
