Job Description Summary

Guides and undertakes business development efforts of prospective clients and distribution channel partners. Plans, identifies, and executes due diligence and implementation of strategic business development objectives. Researches, evaluates, and manages new strategic business opportunities, entry into niche or new geographic markets, new business platforms, major segment initiatives, and key partnerships and alliances pursuant to the mid- to long-range strategic plans of the segment and enterprise.

We offer a competitive compensation package with a base salary (60-70K), uncapped monthly commissions with year 1 OTE of $80,000 - $100,000). We are looking for outgoing, articulate and confident individuals with 3-5 years of business to business (B2B) sales experience to fill a key Outside Sales position. This position will grow, develop, harvest and maintain business opportunities in this region. We are interested in people who want to positively impact their careers, and aim at long-term opportunities with the company.

 

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Acquire new customers through cold calling and lead generation from referrals;

  • Daily appointments with potential clients;

  • Identify strategic referral partnership opportunities with technology and software providers

  • Oversee the sales process from beginning to end: evaluate clients’ needs, schedule sales presentations, collect the necessary information to open new client accounts;

  • Properly demonstrate all features and benefits that are specific to each individual customer;

  • Develop and maintain a loyal customer base through high quality service;

  • Perform follow-ups with clients to ensure they are completely satisfied;

  • Use SalesForce CRM to efficiently log activities, prospects and clients;

  • Address customer complaints and propose sound solutions;

  • Obtain knowledge of the market through research, trade associations and relationship development;

  • Seek to implement new ideas and or techniques learned through experience and interaction with peers;

  • Demonstrate a high degree of courtesy, efficiency and professionalism when communicating with internal and external clients;

  • Effectively plan and execute sales strategy.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Post secondary education is required (Bachelor degree in Sales and/or Marketing is preferred);

  • Minimum three to five (3-5) years experience as a B2B Sales Representative;

  • Experience selling software or business financial services is an asset

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written);

  • Extended local network and business contacts;

  • Demonstrated track record of achievement in selling products and/or services;

  • Goal-oriented to achieve targets through self-motivation, persistence and determination;

  • Strong customer service orientation;

  • Strong presentation skills;

  • Must be familiar with Sales Funnel methodology and process;

  • Knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
