Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for building and leading a high-performing, customer-focused sales team to expand market share across the bakery, pharma, and food supplier segments. The role involves developing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, and coordinating cross-functional efforts to ensure revenue growth and market penetration. The BDM will oversee the entire sales process, from prospecting and qualification to closing, and will collaborate with product development, marketing, and other departments to meet organizational objectives.
Work You’ll Do:
Develop and execute sales plans to promote Unifiller product lines within target market segments
Generate new business opportunities through direct customer contact, site visits, workflow studies, and participation in trade shows
Lead, hire, train, and supervise Territory Managers (TMs) to maximize sales outreach and market penetration
Build strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate product developments, marketing campaigns, and sales initiatives
Develop compelling sales presentations, proposals, and support materials to enhance market presence
Manage and develop dealer networks and distribution channels where applicable
Support and participate in industry events, trade shows, and internal meetings
Ensure all sales activities align with company business strategy and stay within designated budget parameters
Work closely with Sales and Product Development teams to facilitate customer testing, feedback, and new product launches
Maintain accurate sales forecasts and reports to track progress against targets
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years sales experience in capital equipment or similar technical sales environments
Proven track record of managing and motivating sales teams effectively
Strong understanding of the technical sales process, especially in the machinery or manufacturing equipment sectors
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
Ability to travel up to 50% based on a planned schedule, with flexibility for urgent requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Business, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Industry experience in pharma, bakery, or food manufacturing sectors
Prior experience with Unifiller products or similar automation equipment
Demonstrated ability to develop new markets and expand existing customer base
Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking
Ability to operate independently and drive results in a dynamic environment
