As the Business Development Manager (BDM) for Tekmar in the US, you will develop and execute growth strategies to drive sales, increase market share, and achieve revenue targets. Reporting to the General Manager of Tekmar, you will identify new opportunities, nurture key relationships, and collaborate with internal teams to expand Tekmar’s presence in the heating, hydronics, plumbing, and construction sectors.

You Will:

  • Meet or exceed annual sales goals and profit margins.

  • Manage and grow Tekmar’s assigned customer accounts in designated territories.

  • Identify, pursue, and develop business in new territories and markets.

  • Set annual goals and quotas by product category with sales representatives and key accounts.

  • Drive awareness and market share growth by training and supporting sales reps and customers.

  • Build and maintain relationships with engineers, contractors, building owners, and distributors.

  • Implement strategic sales actions, launch new products, and act as the lead salesperson for designated targets.

  • Partner with product management and marketing to develop effective sales programs and incentives.

  • Produce and deliver sales reports, assess market potential, and present periodic territory updates.

  • Participate in trade shows, buying group meetings, and industry events.

  • Collaborate with parallel sales organizations to implement account strategies and drive strategic initiatives.

  • Serve as the voice of the customer, promoting a customer-centric mindset.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 8+ years of successful sales and/or marketing management experience in heating, hydronics, plumbing, or construction.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and lead cross-functional initiatives.

  • Strong technical background and industry knowledge.

  • Experience delivering presentations.

  • Proven track record of identifying key targets and cold calling.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
