Own new-business development across the Fraser Valley, Metro Vancouver, and Pacific Northwest. Build a self-generated pipeline, conduct consultative discovery with business leaders, develop scoped proposals for managed IT, cybersecurity, and AI services, coordinate with delivery teams, and complete customer handoffs. This in-office role requires regular regional travel and focuses on building long-term customer partnerships.

The Opportunity

As our Business Development Manager, you own new business. You find growth-oriented businesses across the Pacific Northwest that are being held back by their technology, you dig into the real problem underneath, and you bring them into Clearbridge with an agreement that sets them and our delivery team up to win. You’re accountable for one thing above all: qualified new customers who are eager to grow.

This role is for someone who sells by understanding, not by pitching. Our customers are 8-figure businesses that need a strategic partner for managed IT, cybersecurity, and AI, not another vendor. You’ll report to our Sales Manager, work closely with marketing on pipeline, partner with our service delivery team so that what we sell is exactly what we deliver, and hand each new customer to our Customer Development Manager to grow the relationship from there.

This is a full-time, permanent role based out of our Abbotsford office.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and work your own pipeline of growth-oriented businesses across the Fraser Valley, Metro Vancouver, and the broader Pacific Northwest
  • Run discovery conversations that uncover the business problem, not just the technical ask
  • Turn what you learn into clear, well-scoped proposals built on our managed services and project offerings
  • Bring service delivery in early so every agreement is one our team can confidently deliver
  • Hand new customers off cleanly to onboarding and our Customer Development Manager, with nothing left ambiguous
  • Keep the CRM current so the pipeline is visible and forecasts are honest
  • Work with marketing to turn inbound interest and campaigns into real conversations
  • Represent Clearbridge at networking events, industry associations, and customer sites
  • Track your progress weekly against clear targets on a sales scorecard

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who can turn a first conversation into a long-term partnership, without overselling to get there.

Customer Obsessed: Problem First, Product Second
You listen more than you talk. You want to understand how a customer’s business makes money and what’s slowing it down before you recommend anything. You’d rather walk away from a deal than sell something that won’t solve the real problem.

Easy To Work With: Clean Handoffs
You make the buying process simple for customers and the delivery process simple for your teammates. Your proposals are clear, your notes are complete, and nobody in service delivery has to guess what was promised.

Think Beyond Boundaries: Curious About the Business
You don’t sell from a script. You connect the dots between a customer’s growth plans and what technology could unlock for them, and you bring ideas to the table they hadn’t considered.

Seek Mastery: Know What You Sell
You learn our services well enough to hold a credible conversation about IT, cybersecurity, and AI, and you know when to bring in an expert. You treat every lost deal as data and keep sharpening your craft.

Move Tactically: Disciplined Pipeline
You prospect consistently, follow up without being chased, and keep deals moving. You know where every opportunity stands and what the next step is, and you make quick, smart calls on where to spend your time.

Must-Haves

  • Proven B2B sales experience, with a track record of closing new business (lead with your numbers)
  • Consultative selling approach, comfortable leading discovery with business owners and executives
  • Self-driven prospecting, energized by building your own pipeline
  • Strong communication, clear and confident in person, on the phone, and in writing
  • Technical curiosity and willingness to learn our services in depth
  • Organized and disciplined about CRM and follow-up
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for customer meetings and events

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience selling managed services, IT services, or B2B technology
  • Experience selling recurring-revenue agreements
  • An established network in the Fraser Valley or Metro Vancouver business community
  • Familiarity with ConnectWise or a similar PSA/CRM
  • Formal sales methodology training

Why Clearbridge

  • Real growth. Hands-on training on our services, a sales department invested in your development, and room to grow as the company scales.
  • Exciting environment. Fast-paced, high-growth company with operations across BC, Alberta, and Washington State.
  • Amazing team. Work with a team that pairs technical depth with genuine care for the people we serve.
  • Clear expectations. Your targets are set up front, in writing.
  • Meaningful work. Every agreement you close gives a growing business the confidence to focus on what they do best.

Compensation

Base salary range of $60,000-$75,000 CAD per year, plus an industry competitive bonus structure.

The Reality Check

This role is based out of our Abbotsford office, with regular travel to customer sites and networking events across the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver. Our services are tailored, so good deals take real discovery and close work with our delivery team. You’ll prospect, you’ll hear “no” more often than “yes,” and you’ll be measured against clear numbers every week. We’re growing fast and still refining how sales works here, which means you’ll have a real voice in shaping it.

If you want to pitch a product, close, and move on without caring whether it works for the customer, this isn’t it. If you want to build real partnerships with growing businesses and be recognized for the value you bring in, we should talk.

Our Values

Customer Obsessed. Easy To Work With. Think Beyond Boundaries. Seek Mastery. Move Tactically.

If these resonate, we should talk.
