THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager, Sports to help grow Tradable Bits’ sports vertical. Reporting into sales leadership, you’ll be responsible for sourcing, developing, and closing new partnerships across professional and collegiate sports. You’ll play a critical role in expanding our footprint by identifying opportunities, crafting compelling pitches, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver successful outcomes for our partners.

This role is ideal for a self-starter who loves networking, building momentum, and being on the front lines of growth.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

  • Identify sales channels and new opportunities to grow our presence in sports
  • Build, manage, and maintain a consistent pipeline of prospective partners
  • Strategize and execute outreach plans that attract and close new major sports partners
  • Develop strong relationships with multiple stakeholders within partner organizations
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success, Product, and Development teams to support deals and partner initiatives
  • Represent Tradable Bits at industry events, conferences, and meetings, and share market intelligence internally
  • Help partners ideate and implement creative strategies using the Tradable Bits platform
  • Quickly master our platform and use data-backed insights to recommend solutions and improvements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in sales tools such as HubSpot and Gong/Grain to track KPIs and performance
  • Stay informed on trends and developments across sports, fan engagement, and digital technology
  • Support scoping and identification of professional services opportunities alongside internal teams

MUST HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships within sports, technology, or a fan-facing industry
  • Existing network within the sports industry is a strong asset
  • Demonstrated ability to source, manage, and close deals with organizations of all sizes
  • Strong negotiation skills, including experience pitching to senior executives and working with contracts and legal stakeholders
  • Confident, experienced presenter with the ability to clearly and authentically communicate complex concepts in a simple, accessible way
  • Comfortable explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a proven ability to build credibility and trust across stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, opportunity-seeking approach
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Collaborative team player who genuinely cares about shared success

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Deep interest and passion for the sports business, including experience with teams, leagues, or agencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Business, Economics, Science, or a related field preferred but not required
  • Experience in sports marketing, partnerships, sponsorships, agency management, or branding is an asset
  • Proven ability to think strategically about complex business challenges
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally and communicating clearly with stakeholders at all levels
