Herbaland is looking to hire for an exciting new opportunity.  BD Coordinator's responsibilities include project management, prospecting, customer relations, product development, order processing, product research, and problem-solving. Additionally, acting as the principal point of contact between the business and its customers, identifying new markets and customer leads, obtaining new customers, servicing existing customer's needs, and leads.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate meetings, calls and video meetings along with note taking for the Business Development team, as needed
  • Conduct research on prospective clients
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure proper pre-and post-sales service
  • Communicate customer feedback to Senior Leaders, Operations and Product Development teams
  • Perform market and competitive research
  • Help create promotional materials (e.g. presentations and samples)
  • Preparing, filing, and retrieving sales-related documents, like contracts, pricing and NDAs
  • Designing and renewing sales proposals
  • Updating internal databases with account information
  • Coordinating all aspects of new product projects for clients.
  • Evaluating project briefs and offering recommendations if required.
  • Coordinating with other departments to relay client requirements, deadlines, etc.
  • Discussing company capabilities and business opportunities with new clients.
  • Completing client and internal documentation with record maintenance.
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2- 3 -years of international sales experience desired
  • Nutraceutical experience is a bonus
  • Degree in food science/business or related field
  • Leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & listening)
  • Hard-working, proactive and a team player
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with other general computer skills
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Reduce environmental impact whenever possible
  • Travel to various of site locations and trade shows is required. 

This is a full-time Monday - Friday in office position with travel required. 

Successful candidate will have to pass a Criminal Record Search. 

All interviews are in person in our Richmond, BC based home office during normal business hours.
