This is a unique opportunity to join our Business Development (BD) team and gain hands-on experience at the intersection of science and business in a fast-paced biotech environment.

Position Overview:
This role is ideal for bright, motivated recent graduates who want to apply their scientific knowledge to real-world business challenges. You will work as part of a dynamic BD team conducting research, evaluating new opportunities, and supporting strategic projects that drive abm’s global expansion in the fast-growing biotech industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market and competitive research in biotechnology, diagnostics, and life science reagents.
  • Identify and evaluate new product, market, or partnership opportunities.
  • Support BD strategy development, presentations, and proposals.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, and Operations teams to align commercial initiatives with scientific strengths.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Recent graduates in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Biotechnology, or a related field (UBC and BCIT graduates strongly encouraged to apply).
  • Demonstrated academic excellence and intellectual curiosity.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Genuine interest in biotechnology business strategy and commercialization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivated self-starter who learns quickly, takes initiative, and thrives in a fast-paced setting.
  • Previous experience in business development, sales, or marketing (e.g., internships, co-ops, or part-time roles) is an asset.
  • MBA or business coursework would be considered a strong asset, particularly for candidates interested in long-term growth within BD or strategy roles.
