Duties
You are comfortable in both technical and customer facing roles and will be an ambassador responsible for seeking win-win solutions for Powertech customers. This opportunity is best suited to someone who is a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to deliver solutions in response to complex and sensitive queries from clients. Relevant experience and a proven track record in business development will be a key requirement.
* Lead customer engagement in coordination with Business Development, Marketing, Legal and Powertech business units to manage and deliver on customer expectations.
* Provide excellent customer service, address customer issues and deliver on strategic customer opportunities. 
* Act as a trusted advisor to Powertech customers. Engage customers to ensure awareness of and encourage participation in Powertech projects.
* Build and manage strategic relationships with internal and external senior decision-makers.
* Respond to internal stakeholder requests and inquiries regarding business cases and business decisions relating to customer-focused projects.
* Provide constructive feedback and champion improvements on internal business processes and practices which will make it easier for customers to do business with Powertech.
* Develop an in-depth knowledge of Powertech products, services, policies and rate structures.
* Develop project timelines and manage BD projects consistent with senior management requirements
* Offer suggestions and recommendations to internal and customer stakeholders to support them in making technical scoping decisions where appropriate.
Qualifications 
* A university degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Six to eight years in customer related roles, including sales, marketing and/or business development in a utility, consulting or comparable industry
* Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills, with the ability to make complex information simple and summarize key facts for decision makers
* Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations to effective resolution, effectively manage conflict and confidently deal with customers on sensitive issues
* Strong business acumen and proven commercial competency
* Excellent writing, verbal and presentation skills in particular at the technical and senior management and executive level
* Able to build trust and work collaboratively with a variety of subject matter experts, including senior management

* The successful applicant will be required to travel to and visit customer sites to understand their business and operational needs and may be required to support their customer after hours as necessary to support urgent issues
