Sunrise Farms is undergoing a major digital transformation across its operations, including ERP, WMS/MES, CMMS, EDI, data, and process governance initiatives.
The Business Analyst (BA) will play a critical role in both delivering transformation projects and supporting and continuously improving existing enterprise systems and business processes. This includes working closely with business stakeholders and IT to ensure solutions are not only successfully implemented, but also effectively maintained, optimized, and evolved over time.
The BA will act as a bridge between business and technology—facilitating collaboration across departments, breaking down silos, and ensuring alignment between operational needs and system capabilities. This role requires a highly skilled facilitator who can engage diverse stakeholders, drive consensus, and translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation (Core Focus)
- Lead workshops and meetings with cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, Sales, Finance, IT, etc.)
- Facilitate discussions to uncover needs, resolve conflicts, and build consensus across divisions
- Actively break down silos and promote enterprise thinking over departmental optimization
- Translate differing stakeholder perspectives into unified business solutions
- Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization
Business Requirements & Analysis
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for enterprise initiatives
- Develop clear and structured Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), user stories, and functional specifications
- Ensure requirements are complete, testable, and aligned with business objectives
- Validate requirements with stakeholders and ensure alignment before development/configuration
Process Mapping & Gap Analysis
- Document current-state (AS-IS) business processes across departments
- Design future-state (TO-BE) processes aligned with system capabilities and transformation goals
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for standardization
- Support process harmonization across locations and business units
Solution Delivery Support
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and external vendors
- Support system design, configuration, and integration discussions
- Participate in solution reviews to ensure alignment with business requirements
- Assist in prioritization and scope management
Testing & Implementation
- Support development of test strategies, test cases, and test scripts
- Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Validate that delivered solutions meet business needs and requirements
- Assist in issue tracking, triage, and resolution
Change Management & Adoption
- Support change management activities across transformation initiatives
- Help develop training materials, SOPs, and user documentation
- Facilitate training sessions and support end-user adoption
- Identify and address resistance to change within business units
Continuous Improvement & Support
- Support ongoing optimization of implemented systems and processes
- Work with business teams to identify improvement opportunities
- Assist in troubleshooting system/process issues post-implementation
- Contribute to governance and standardization efforts
Cost-Benefit Analysis & Decision Support
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed solutions, system enhancements, and process changes
- Partner with business stakeholders, IT, and Finance to quantify costs, benefits, risks, and ROI
- Evaluate multiple solution options and provide clear, data-driven recommendations
- Support business case development for new initiatives and investments
- Ensure alignment between proposed changes and overall transformation objectives
- Present findings to stakeholders and leadership to support informed decision-making
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise environments
- Proven experience facilitating workshops with diverse stakeholder groups
- Strong experience with requirements elicitation and documentation
- Demonstrated ability to drive consensus and resolve conflicting priorities
- Experience with process mapping (e.g., BPMN, Visio) and gap analysis
- Experience working on ERP or large enterprise system implementations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in manufacturing or supply chain environments
- Experience with ERP systems (Syspro preferred), WMS, MES, or CMMS
- Familiarity with EDI and system integrations
- Experience in large-scale transformation or multi-project environments
- Knowledge of change management principles (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR)
