We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Business Analyst, Procurement to join our Procurement team in Langley, BC.  
 

Reporting to the Director, Procurement, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth procurement and product analysis to drive cost efficiencies, evaluate vendor opportunities, and support strategic decision-making across procurement and merchandising teams. In this role, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to optimize sourcing strategies, enhance vendor performance, and contribute to profit growth through data-driven insights and recommendations.
You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting procurement analysis to identify the best cost of goods (COGS), comparing top suppliers, evaluating new vendor opportunities, and improving business efficiencies.

  • Supporting procurement management teams with analysis, projections, sales meetings, and period-end processing.

  • Working with the merchandising and procurement teams to complete product analysis and recommending a course of action and/or growth opportunities.

  • Conducting proactive analysis to identify opportunities for cost reductions.

  • Supporting vendor relationship maintenance by conducting routine business calls to align the vendor community to Pattison Food Group’s initiatives.

  • Reviewing vendor performance to agreed plans to resolve any discrepancies.

  • Identifying opportunities to enhance profit, preparing supplier scorecards, and providing recommendations.

  • Evaluating contractual agreements and making recommendations on their financial impact.
     

You have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience working in a retail industry or related field.

  • A strong knowledge of supplier relations, category science and vendor management.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft desktop applications.

  • Knowledge of dashboarding systems like Power BI or Tableau.

  • Experience with cost analysis, data analysis and translation.

  • A strong communicator, both verbal and written.

  • Able to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Able to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • An analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities

Compensation Details:

$81,920.00 - $102,400.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
