Position Overview
Aimtal is seeking a skilled Brand Graphic Designer Contractor to support our team across specific client accounts. In this role, you will support our clients with elevating their visual communications through polished editorial design, brand systems, and high-impact marketing collateral.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in B2B marketing contexts, translating complex technical concepts into clean, visually engaging formats. You excel at working with long-form content—such as eBooks, white-papers, and one-pagers—and can step into established brand design systems or build new ones from scratch. This is a fully remote, independent contractor position collaborating closely with Aimtal’s strategy, creative, and project management teams.
Responsibilities
- Editorial & Collateral Layout: Design high-converting B2B marketing collateral with a heavy focus on multi-page editorial design, including eBooks, whitepapers, one-pagers, case studies, and presentation decks.
- InDesign & Template Systems: Build and maintain scalable document templates, master pages, character/paragraph styles, and visual systems in Adobe InDesign to streamline ongoing client publishing needs.
- Digital Campaign Design: Create supporting digital and print creative for integrated marketing campaigns, including social media assets, advertising graphics for multiple channels, and visual elements for client websites.
- Data Visualization & Tech Graphics: Translate complex technical concepts, product workflows, and data insights into clear, engaging custom illustrations, infographics, and visual assets.
- Strategic Client Consultation: Advise internal teams and clients during meetings and feedback sessions, advocating for design best practices that align with overall campaign strategy and business goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Aimtal account managers and designers to interpret creative briefs, iterate on feedback, and deliver production-ready assets on tight deadlines.
- Brand Governance & Quality Assurance: Maintain absolute visual integrity and production quality across all deliverables, rapidly adapting to distinct client brand guidelines and technical specifications.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of graphic design experience in a B2B, agency, or technology-focused environment (freelance or contract experience preferred).
- Editorial Mastery: Proven track record in layout and editorial design for digital publications (eBooks, whitepapers, reports, and one-pagers).
- Technical Tooling: High proficiency in Adobe InDesign (master pages, style sheets, grid systems), Adobe Creative Cloud, and Figma.
- Portfolio Requirement: A strong portfolio demonstrating experience with B2B tech-focused brand campaigns , and data visualization.
- Communication & Independence: Strong client-facing presence with the ability to confidently present concepts, articulate design choices, and manage feedback, paired with self-directed time management in a remote workplace.
- Availability: Ability to align working hours with North American Eastern Time (ET) for project check-ins and client feedback review.
- Software & Equipment Setup: Able to provide and maintain your own professional workstation and hardware. You must hold and manage your own active licenses for all necessary design platforms required to execute project deliverables, specifically Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.
- Self-Management & Prioritization: Operate with a high degree of autonomy and manage your workload across overlapping projects and deadlines.
