We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our game development team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in C++ development, backend service architecture, and networked game systems. If you are passionate about building scalable and high-performance backend solutions for online and multiplayer games, we want to hear from you.
- Develop and maintain backend systems for multiplayer and online game features
- Implement and optimize networked client/server architectures to ensure performance and scalability
- Collaborate with gameplay engineers, designers, and other teams to integrate backend services
- Ensure backend stability and efficiency through robust debugging and troubleshooting
- Design and maintain scalable and maintainable backend services with a focus on performance
- Write clean, efficient, and portable code that follows best practices
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Proficiency in C++ with a focus on backend development
- Familiarity with networked game client/server architecture
- Strong debugging skills and problem-solving abilities
- Understanding of backend service architecture and scalability considerations
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail in software architecture and system design
The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required.
