Design, program, commission, and support commercial AV and control systems. Create programming modules, tune audio on site, produce as-built files, train clients, estimate RFP/RFQ responses, attend client meetings, and resolve AV system issues to ensure successful installations.
Our Audio-Visual Programmer will join our team of AV professionals nationwide, providing support to project delivery across Canada. Your primary focus will be on system design and programming of complex AV and control systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and programming comprehensive commercial audio-visual solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist and collaborate in the design process for Audio-Visual projects
- Programming as required for Audio-Visual and control systems
- Tuning of audio system on site
- Assisting with national best practices and programming module creation
- Training clients on system/GUI functionality, user manuals
- As-built file creation for customer's hand over packages
- Provide time estimates for responses to RFP’s and RFQ’s
- Attend Client meetings, perform a needs analysis to prepare thorough and comprehensive statements of work for programming
- Identify to the project team the intended functionality of the solution and provide guidance to ensure a successful installation and commissioning is achieved
- Commission all systems as required to ensure functionality and completion
- Process project documentation, including project-closing activities to be handed to the client upon the completion of a commissioned and functioning system
- Provide support for all AV system issues
- Other duties as required.
- Post-secondary education in electrical, telecommunications, or electronics would be an asset
- Ability to troubleshoot complex audio, video, switching, and control system problems
- Experience, certifications, and technical knowledge of data and audiovisual (i.e. Crestron, AMX, Extron, Shure, Poly, ClearOne, Biamp, QSC, BSS, Netgear, Luxul etc.)
- Must have Crestron programming CTI-P201 or higher
- Experience programming Digital Sound Processors (DSPs)
- Knowledge of DHCP, Static Addressing, Switches, Hubs, WAPS, and Signal Flow
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and Visio, AutoCAD, D-Tools)
- Bondable and able to pass criminal record check
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Keen attention to detail and excellent organization
- 5 years of Crestron programming experience
- Crestron Certified Programmer
- QSC Level 2 programming experience
- Extron Certified Programmer
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English, (i.e. see, hear, speak and write clearly) in order to communicate with colleagues and/or customers
- Manual dexterity required for occasional reaching, lifting of light office objects, and operating office equipment
- Sitting, standing, walking in office environments and construction sites
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet)
WORKING CONDITIONS: In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate
- Will be required to be on site with customers or contractors, with or without Bosch BT colleagues to manage the expectations and deliverables. Sites range from general office environments to new construction.
- Driving to customer sites is required
- Limited overnight travel may be required
