Our Canadian operations are currently looking for an enthusiastic, organized self-starter to join our Canaccord Genuity Wealth & Estate Planning team in Vancouver. This role will provide support to our Wealth & Estate Planning Team and is ideal for someone looking for a long-term career in financial and retirement planning, who is looking to join a fast-paced work environment, with a growing team/division. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assists with client data discovery, data inputs and packaging of financial plans as requested by the Wealth & Estate Planning Specialists using Conquest, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat. 
  • Work alongside CGWM advisors to deliver completed financial plans to clients, in person or virtually
  • Input a wide variety of client data & documents into our internal systems in a timely and efficient manner. 
  • Complete all record keeping functions with attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring that all audit requirements are being met. 
  • Provide detailed and meticulous administrative support to the Wealth & Estate Planning Specialists. 
  • Assist Specialists in populating detailed monthly pipeline for Sales, Revenue and Client Planning 
  • Follow-up with advisor calls and perform other necessary advisor outreach as required. 
  • Attend team meetings and assist with projects as required. 
  • Assist in larger team ongoing improvement projects as required. 

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Completion or progress toward the Qualified Associate Financial Planner® Certificate; 
  • Full CFP® designation an asset; 
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills: good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Previous Conquest software experience an asset; 
  • 1-3 years of similar or related administrative experience an asset; 
  • Knowledge of the Wealth and Estate Planning industry an asset; 
  • Experience in life and living benefits insurance is an asset; 
  • Excellent written and oral English communication and interpersonal skills; 
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail; 
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; 
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with Investment Advisors, clients and colleagues; 
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and utilize resources provided, autonomously.
