About the role:
The Associate Creative Director will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the visual and creative direction of marketing campaigns, branding initiatives, and product communication for a leading global B2B SaaS company. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on design expertise, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality creative assets that resonate with both business clients and internal stakeholders.
This is a remote position open to candidates residing in Canada.

In this role, you will:
- Lead the development and execution of creative concepts for digital, print, and multimedia marketing materials.
- Own the digital design system, coordinating with the Brand team to ensure that we are showing up in a consistent, evocative manner.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to create compelling visual narratives that align with brand strategy and business goals.
- Manage a team of digital designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback to ensure high standards of creative excellence.
- Oversee the production process from ideation through to final delivery, ensuring projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality expectations.
- Contribute to the creation of brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all creative outputs.
- Stay current on industry trends and emerging design tools, integrating innovative techniques into the creative process.
- Work closely with UX to ensure that our user insights are being delivered upon.
- Analyze and optimize creative assets for performance across various digital channels, ensuring that designs drive engagement, conversions, and customer retention.
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.
- Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 8+ years of experience in a creative role with 2+ years of experience as a direct people manager within a B2B SaaS or high-tech environment.
- Expertise in design software such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
- Strong understanding of brand strategy, UX/UI design principles, and digital marketing best practices.
- Ability to translate user insights into compelling digital experiences.
- Experience with content creation, including writing copy for digital platforms or collaborating closely with copywriters to ensure cohesive messaging.
- Deep knowledge of brand positioning, storytelling, and strategy to align creative outputs with broader marketing goals.
- Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, heatmaps, or A/B testing to understand how creative assets perform and optimize them accordingly.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which can be helpful for collaborating with developers and understanding web-based project requirements.
- Experience working alongside senior creative leads or taking on creative direction responsibilities, even in smaller teams.
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional projects, collaborating with various teams, and delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts to non-design stakeholders.
- A portfolio showcasing a range of creative work, including B2B marketing campaigns, digital experiences, and branding projects.
An ideal candidate also has:
- Proficiency in motion design tools like After Effects or Premiere Pro for creating dynamic content, video assets, and animations that complement creative campaigns.
- Experience with 3D design software like Cinema 4D or Blender, adding depth and sophistication to projects.
The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
$100,400—$138,050 CAD
