At JPMorgan Asset Management, we offer global investment management across various asset classes. We are seeking an Associate to join our Strategy & Business Development team in London. This role provides an exciting opportunity to address complex strategy problems and implementation issues that are critical to our firm.
As an Associate in the Strategy & Business Development team, you will play a pivotal role in solving complex strategy problems and implementation issues. You will work closely with senior management to drive growth and innovation within the firm.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct competitive and market sizing analyses, including profiling competitors' offerings and identifying industry growth drivers.
- Develop growth strategies by identifying customer segments, buying behaviors, and value propositions.
- Model business decisions, assess financial impacts, and determine cost structures.
- Define operating models and address organizational design and client coverage segments.
- Participate in client meetings as a subject matter expert.
- Manage or facilitate inter-LOB or intra-LOB initiatives.
- Develop key leadership communication and strategy materials, including for Investor Day and annual Operating Committee off-sites.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Hypothesis-driven mindset with strong business intuition, creativity, and tenacity.
- Ability to structure ambiguous situations and apply problem-solving frameworks confidently.
- Strong quantitative skills, particularly in designing complex models in Excel.
- Ability to build consultative relationships with senior management and become a trusted partner.
- Proficiency in preparing clear, concise, and well-designed presentations in PowerPoint.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
- Strong interpersonal leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to achieve goals without direct control over resources.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Financial services background, especially in asset & wealth management, preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant experience in consulting with a top-tier management consulting firm, internal consulting, corporate strategy team, or equivalent experience in the asset & wealth management industry.
- Quantitative background preferred but not required.

The Strategy team manages mission-critical projects ranging from developing growth strategies, to assessing and planning entry into new markets, to implementing organizational restructurings and operational efficiencies, and more. Projects are typically team-based and include close collaboration with senior executives.
