ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE
The Accounts Receivable Coordinator is responsible for managing Herschel’s accounts, and supporting a rapidly growing customer base around the world. As AR Coordinator, you will use your organizational and interpersonal skills to ensure timely receipt of our receivables as well as building strong business relationships with our customers and sales representatives. You will join our Finance team, while building strong internal relationships, working closely with Sales and Operations.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
On a day-to-day basis, the AR Coordinator will:
- Support the AR manager with credit assessment, performing required due diligence
- Process new account applications by accurately setting up new customers in the ERP system, validating that terms are accurately entered with appropriate support (signed sales agreements, tax certificates)
- Build strong relationships with accounts, maintain excellent customer service and work closely with Operations and Sales in effectively managing the relationships
- Work with independent North American and International accounts and handle some major distributor accounts
- Perform day-to-day collection activities by phone and email to ensure the timely collection of all accounts
- Escalate delinquent accounts and assist with resolving the issue, at times recommending which accounts be given to a collection agency
- Work in various customer portals to reconcile payments & remittances
- Work with the Senior Accountant to manage sales rep accounts and commissions
- Obtain information to support the chargeback investigation/dispute process
- Apply cheque, EFT and credit card payments made by customers.
- Maintain AR records to ensure aging is up to date, payments and credits are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
ABOUT YOU
- Post-secondary education, background with numbers is an asset (i.e. accounting, finance, math, science)
- 1 year in a related role, preferably in Account Management, Credit or AR
- Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Microsoft Dynamics GP experience is preferred, BlueCherry experience is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, organized, process oriented with a passion for continuous improvement
YOUR JOURNEY WITH HERSCHEL SUPPLY
The annual salary for this role falls within the range of $48,000 - $62,000 CAD. We welcome diverse talents, and if you don't feel like you tick all the boxes yet in terms of experience, we'll consider adjusting the scope of work and salary range to align with your individual strengths.
