Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to drive the development and delivery of AppNeta solutions to actively measure performance on modern, hybrid networks. This role required a deep understanding of networks, and a proven track record on working with distributed development teams on enterprise grade solutions.
Ideally this role will have experience working with the unique requirements of the US Military and other government agencies. This role will focus on understanding the mission-critical needs of our government customers, translating those needs into actionable product requirements, and ensuring the successful delivery of secure, reliable, and high-performance network monitoring solutions.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap:

    • Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for AppNeta solutions tailored for government customers.

    • Prioritize features and initiatives based on government customer needs, security requirements, and mission-critical objectives.

    • Work closely with government stakeholders to understand their specific challenges and requirements.
       

  • Product Development and Execution:

    • Collaborate with engineering, design, and security teams to translate government requirements into detailed specifications and user stories.

    • Ensure that product development adheres to relevant security and compliance standards.

    • Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality releases.

    • Work with UX designers to ensure the solutions are easy to use in high stress environments.
       

  • Customer Engagement and Advocacy:

    • Engage with government customers and partners to gather feedback and understand their evolving needs.

    • Serve as a product evangelist, presenting product demos and providing technical expertise to government stakeholders.

    • Work with sales and marketing teams to develop product messaging and go-to-market strategies for the government sector.
       

  • Government Market Expertise:

    • Develop a deep understanding of the US Military and other government agency IT environments, security requirements, and procurement processes.

    • Stay abreast of relevant government regulations, compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, DISA STIGs), and emerging technologies.

    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform product strategy for the government sector.
       

  • Security and Compliance:

    • Ensure that AppNeta solutions meet the stringent security and compliance requirements of government agencies.

    • Work closely with security teams to implement and maintain necessary security controls.

    • Manage the process of achieving and maintaining relevant certifications and accreditations.
       

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support, to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.  

    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).

  • 12+ years of product management experience, preferably with a focus on government solutions.

  • Strong understanding of government IT environments, security requirements, and procurement processes.

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and delivering products for the US Military or other government agencies.

  • Experience with relevant government regulations and compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, DISA STIGs).

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.  

  • Experience with Network performance Monitoring and Diagnostics (NPMD) solutions.

  • Understanding of government contracting.
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active security clearance.

  • Experience with cloud-based technologies and SaaS product delivery.

  • Knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and monitoring tools.

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.

  • Experience with data visualization and analytics tools.

Additional Job Description:

The annual base salary range for this position is $113,000 - $180,000 CAD.
