Job Summary
The Analytics Engineer will be part of our Analytics & Insights team and partner closely with stakeholders and internal data teams to translate business needs into scalable analytics solutions. The role will analyze; integrate data from multiple datasets, write and optimize SQL for analytics; reporting, own end-to-end analytics deliverables, and recommend data and reporting improvements.

Responsibilities
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner closely with Finance, Music Ops, Acquisitions, and other business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, data gaps, and analytical requirements
- Collaborate with internal data teams to translate business questions into scalable, well-modeled, analytics-ready data solutions
Reporting Architecture & Data Modeling
- Analyze and integrate data from disparate datasets to develop niche reporting tables and generate meaningful business insights
- Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and reporting tables
- Recommend and implement improvements to existing SQL data models
- Design and build scalable reporting architecture that supports evolving analytics needs
Analytics Engineering, Governance & Dashboarding
- Design and develop executive dashboards and KPI frameworks that provide real-time visibility into business performance
- Apply software engineering best practices to analytics code (e.g., version control, continuous integration)
- Participate in code reviews and optimize SQL for performance, including Sigma-specific optimization
- Maintain data documentation, definitions, and governance standards
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science etc.); Master's degree or advanced certification in related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in the analytics domain as a data analyst/data engineer/data scientist
- Strong proficiency in SQL
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguous requirements, analyze and integrate datasets and build targeted reporting tables, executive dashboards and KPIs
- Demonstrated expertise in building and owning the analytics semantic layer, including metric definitions, data models & business logic
- Understanding of how data insights translate to business value and competitive advantage
- Programming experience in R, Python, or similar analytical languages is preferred
- Experience with dashboard development in Tableau or Sigma
- Eagerness to learn new technologies, methodologies, and business domains
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Knowledge of the music industry is an asset
Pay Scale
- $90,000 - $110,000 per year
- The final compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.
