Named #4 startup in Canada for 2024, Hiive is a fintech/marketplace startup connecting buyers and sellers of stock in venture-backed pre-IPO companies🚀. Thanks to our industry-leading technology and best-in-class capital markets team, we are home to the fastest-growing marketplace for the stock of “unicorns” on the planet. As a profitable and rapidly growing business backed by US venture capital investors, we are seeking to scale our high-performing team.
As an Analyst/Associate, Institutional Sales, you will be on the front lines of one of the most important global hubs in this fast-paced market, working to maximize liquidity and trading volume on the platform. Driving new business by sourcing, pitching, and onboarding institutional clients to boost transaction volume on and off the platform.
-
Generating engagement and platform growth by successfully onboarding investors onto our platform.
-
Creating and maintaining relationships while managing existing customers and identifying value-added opportunities.
-
Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the platform’s features and benefits, effectively positioning them to potential clients.
-
Monitoring market trends and client feedback to identify opportunities for business expansion and product enhancements.
-
Learning everything there is to know about the secondary market for pre-IPO securities or “unicorn” stock; understanding the history, market dynamics, market participants, and the role of Hiive.
-
Eventually, having autonomy over the deals you generate, working closely with senior dealmakers to see them through from beginning to end.
The ideal candidate will:
-
Have proven experience with cold calling and other outbound sales tactics, demonstrating confidence in initiating contact and building rapport with potential customers.
-
Be comfortable and excited to engage with prospective investors as a primary responsibility through various outreach methods.
-
Be an ambitious, high-energy person with a strong sense of urgency, exceptional work ethic, insatiable thirst for knowledge and challenge, and outstanding organizational skills.
-
2+ years experience in a related area such as investment sales or institutional sales and trading, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate business development.
-
Have a relevant educational background, such as a commerce or economics degree, or exceptional academic performance in a liberal arts or science program.
-
Have FINRA Series 7 and 63 licensed or the ability to complete the registrations shortly after hiring.
Compensation, Benefits, & Perks:
-
Highly competitive salary commensurate with experience and contribution.
