Thanks to our industry-leading technology and best-in-class capital markets team, we are home to the fastest-growing marketplace for the stock of “unicorns” on the planet. As a profitable and rapidly growing business backed by US venture capital investors, we are seeking to scale our high-performing team.

As an Analyst/Associate, you will be on the front lines of one of the most important global hubs in this fast-paced market, working to maximize liquidity and trading volume on the platform. In this role, your responsibilities would include:

  • Learning everything there is to know about the secondary market for pre-IPO securities or “unicorn” stock; understanding the history, market dynamics, market participants, and the role of Hiive.

  • Facilitating transactions between institutional private equity investors and accredited individual investors on our proprietary platform.

  • Sourcing and generating leads for transactions on and off the platform.

  • Drive engagement and platform growth by successfully onboarding investors onto our platform.

  • Identify and engage with potential customers through cold calling, email campaigns, and outreach initiatives.

  • Demonstrate expertise, provide market insights, and oversee the transaction process to align demand and supply, working with execution, operations, legal, and stakeholders for successful outcomes.

  • Assisting the parties, the issuer, and their respective advisors/counsel to achieve closing in an expeditious manner.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an ambitious, high-energy person with a strong sense of urgency, exceptional work ethic, insatiable thirst for knowledge and challenge, and outstanding organizational skills.

  • 1+ years experience in a related area such as investment banking, venture capital, private equity, corporate development, investment sales, or institutional sales and trading.

  • Have a relevant educational background, such as a commerce or economics degree, or exceptional academic performance in a liberal arts or science program.

  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licensed or ability to complete the registrations shortly after hiring.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks:

  • Highly competitive salary commensurate with experience and contribution.

  • Opportunity to participate in ownership of a rapidly growing early-stage startup through our employee stock option plan.

  • Comprehensive 100% employer-paid health and dental premiums, a health and personal spending account.

  • A dedicated desk in our Vancouver, BC HQ, in the heart of downtown, with a fridge stocked with healthy snacks and drinks, an onsite gym, and a gorgeous rooftop amenity.

  • Enjoy a $20-per-day commuter benefit for every day you work in our Vancouver HQ.

  • An engaging social calendar, including bi-weekly catered lunches, bi-weekly “Friday bar,” team workouts, annual summer party, and holiday party, two “onsite” all-team retreats each year, semi-annual team-building events, and Hiive Womens’ Network events.

  • Significant opportunities for growth into team leadership and management roles.

  • Entrepreneurial culture and a small and dynamic team.

  • Sponsorship, immigration, and relocation for exceptional candidates.

Hiive is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where all individuals have an opportunity to succeed.
