The ideal candidate will have analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong writing and people skills. The successful candidate will be effective in researching issues, reconciling databases, and completing detailed calculations. Advanced knowledge of Excel function and basic familiarity with Visual Basic for Applications are assets. The Analyst must be results oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines. Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results
People:
- Create a positive team member experience.
Client:
- Works with their assigned mentor(s) to help foster client relationships and manage information inquiries.
Value:
- Assists the Senior Research Analyst, Property Tax Complex (focusing on Valuation) and appraisers to support research and data entry and the creation of the first half of valuation reports under their mentorship as relating to a variety of property types.
- Accurately enters, updates and maintains comparable data in the company's property and lease databases. Verifies and cross-checks information for accuracy and completeness.
- Builds knowledge of preparing reports, research and data organization to assist in preparing valuation reports under the teaching and leadership of their mentor.
- Is able to communicate with industry experts as part of their role to support research and basic valuation principals.
- Performs other duties as assigned as is relates to the growth of their role to Senior Analyst.
- Maintains the confidentiality of sensitive property information.
Education and Experience:
- A background in data and database management is a strong asset.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Desire to perform in a high-energy team environment.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet navigation and research. Advanced knowledge of Excel and basic familiarity with Visual Basic for Applications are assets.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
- Standard indoor working environment.
- Occasional long periods of sitting or standing while working.
- Position requires regular interaction with employees and clients both in person, via e-mail and telephone.
- Independent travel requirement: none.
Location: Vancouver, BC
Compensation Range: CAD $40,250 – $56,500 annually (base salary).
In accordance with British Columbia’s Pay Transparency Act (effective November 1, 2025), compensation details are provided to promote clarity and equity. Additional incentive pay, bonuses, or benefits may apply based on role and performance.
