Salary range : $55,000 to $70,000
CMLS Financial is one of Canada’s largest Commercial lenders, is looking for an Analyst to join our growing Commercial Maturities team. Reporting directly to the Associate Director, Commercial Origination, this role provides essential administrative and analytical support, helping manage a diverse portfolio of commercial mortgages. The successful candidate will work collaboratively to ensure client retention, conduct due diligence, and assist with mortgage renewals and refinances. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, results-driven individual with a passion for real estate and commercial credit.Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to the Commercial Maturities team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Support ongoing interaction with investor clients, borrower clients and internal teams to facilitate mortgage extensions, renewals and refinances.
- Conduct due diligence and analyze financial data, credit information, and security assessments for commercial mortgage renewals and refinances.
- Prepare underwriting, summaries, and recommendations for credit risk assessments and renewal/refinance funding requirements.
- Assist with compliance-related tasks and maintain adherence to internal policies, procedures, and investor requirements.
- Monitor market trends and provide insights to support proactive risk management and client retention strategies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure mortgage maturity deadlines are met.
- Support department projects and initiatives as assigned by the Associate Director, Commercial Origination.
- Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, urban land development, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience in commercial real estate, credit risk management, or mortgage administration preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Passion for real estate and an understanding of financial statement analysis.
- A results-driven mindset with a high level of accountability and ownership over work.
- Requirement to be in office at minimum 3 days per week to collaborate with the team.
