The Opportunity: Vancouver, BC

Full Time: 40hr/week, no remote option

Contract length: 4 months

Expected start date: January 20, 2025

Salary: $23.50 - $26.23 per hour


We are seeking a motivated Finance Intern to support our efforts in streamlining financial processes, focusing on NetSuite Bank Reconciliation Automation and General Ledger (GL) Account Mapping. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge financial tools, gain hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP, and contribute to efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • NetSuite Bank Reconciliation Automation:
  • Assist in implementing and optimizing automated bank reconciliation workflows within NetSuite.
  • Analyze existing reconciliation processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Finance and IT teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure seamless automation.
  • GL Account Mapping:
  • Support the development and maintenance of accurate General Ledger account mapping within NetSuite.
  • Review current account structures and propose enhancements for consistency and compliance.
  • Assist in creating documentation for GL mapping procedures and training materials.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Extract and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and alignment with accounting standards.
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings and proposed solutions.
  • Collaboration and Support:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and Operations, to understand system requirements and implement solutions.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to provide updates on project progress and gather feedback.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting processes.
  • Interest in ERP systems (experience with NetSuite is a plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
