Accounting Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Accounting Assistant to join our Finance team in Langley, BC.   

Reporting to the Team Lead, Treasury Services you will be responsible for working with and supporting the Treasury Services team with a focus on cash-up and accounts receivable business processes and administrative duties.    

 
 
You will be responsible for: 

• Preparing daily and monthly reconciliations, including ad-hoc reconciliations, as needed. 

• Reviewing daily sales and identifying discrepancies or issues requiring follow-up. 

• Supporting retail stores and cash offices by troubleshooting POS related issues and providing day-to-day guidance.

• Preparing journal entries and assisting with other general accounting duties. 

• Completing billing and collections for accounts receivable.  

• Analyzing and processing credit applications. 

• Processing and set-up of corporate credit accounts.  

You have:  

• Completed or currently enrolled in a recognized accounting diploma program OR equivalent work experience.  

• A solid understanding of basic accounting principles. 

• 1 year of related accounting experience, ideally within a retail environment.  

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 

You are:   

• An excellent communicator, both written and verbal. 

• Detail oriented with attention to accuracy.   

• Able to multi-task with strong problem-solving skills. 

• Able to work independently as well as in a team setting.

• Skilled at managing your time effectively, and able to process high volumes of data while consistently meeting deadlines.
