The Accounting Analyst ensures compliance with accounting policies, manages month-end processes, conducts financial analysis, and collaborates with external firms for accurate reporting.
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting, the Accounting Analyst is responsible for ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies, contributing to the preparation of consolidated financial statements and performing all transactional accounting activities in a project accounting context. This includes implementing procedures and work practices to enhance the performance and efficiency of the department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
More specifically, the Accounting Analyst must:
- Actively contributes to month-end and year-end closing processes across multiple entities including bank reconciliations, AP and AR closing, month-end entries, accounts revaluation, cost center allocations, inter-company reconciliations and analysis to document and support balance sheet accounts.
- Prepares month-end entries including prepaid expenses, accruals, and depreciation.
- Ensures that month-end activities are carried out in full and within prescribed deadlines
- Collaborates with external accounting firms across multiple countries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with local regulations. Shares detailed financial data to support proper local booking, and review financial statements prepared externally to ensure alignment with internal records for accurate global consolidation.
- Performs a detailed analysis of the trial balance at the end of each month to identify abnormal deviations and performs the necessary analysis to justify them or make appropriate corrections.
- Develops and implements working procedures and practices for the team respecting current accounting standards to speed up processing, minimize errors, ensure compliance with deadlines and document internal processes, in conjunction with the implementation of new IT tools.
- Provide support to the payroll, treasury, AP&AR team, ensuring compliance with contracts, supplier conditions and corporate policies and different local regulations.
- Prepare various management reports for different sector managers (CRO, finance, HR, admin, clinic, etc.)
- Prepare government remittance reports.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
Experience
- CPA Accounting title or CPA student/candidate in the process of certification.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or similar role. Experience with a large multinational company in a growth environment is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and basic knowledge of international accounting requirements.
- Experience with Infor FSM or other large ERP systems, with experience in consolidation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Power Point, and Word.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills.
- Energetic, detail-oriented, autonomous, responsible, and positive attitude
- Solid communication skills (oral and written) in English.
