Step into a high-impact role at the heart of a fast-growing tech company. As our Accountant, you will be involved in core accounting functions, financial reporting, payroll, and regulatory compliance across both our Canadian and US operations. Working directly with the Controller and collaborating closely with the CFO, you’ll help build a strong financial foundation that supports rapid growth and innovation. This is a hands-on opportunity to make a real difference in a company that’s scaling fast. This is a contract engagement.
What You’ll Do:

Sales & Invoicing
- Process and send customer invoices
- Respond to invoicing inquiries
Accounts Receivable
- Prepare and present aged receivables schedules
- Manage collections and reconciliations
Accounts Payable
- Oversee invoice processing and payments
- Manage aged payables schedules and approvals
Bank Reconciliations
- Perform daily/weekly reconciliations for both Canadian and US bank accounts
Payroll
- Coordinate with Controller to ensure prepare payroll for CAD, US, and international entities
- Enter and reconcile payroll in NetSuite
Financial Reporting
- Prepare reconciliations, financial schedules, and journal entries (e.g., deferred revenue, amortization, commissions)
Regulatory Filings
- Prepare US and Canadian tax and compliance filings (e.g., GST, PST, franchise tax, health tax)
Administrative Duties
- Manage NDAs, customer credit applications, and office/IT supplies
Basic qualifications

Required:
- 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting
- Full-cycle accounting experience
- Experience with payroll
- Experience working with deferred revenue and revenue reporting
- Ability to communicate effectively and develop relationships with sales and operations teams
- Ability to work 100% in office
- Familiarity with ASPE and US$ financial statements
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working in a SaaS environment
- Experience working with NetSuite
- Experience working in a start-up environment
- FP&A reporting skills
- Experience with Canadian and US regulatory filings.

In compliance with the British Columbia Pay Transparency Act, the hourly salary range for this role is between $37.00-$45.00 per hour CAD. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
