Account Manager – Advanced Wound Management (Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Canada)

As an Account Manager - AWM, you will be a technical consultant in the Advanced Wound Management product portfolio which includes products for the treatment of acute and chronic wounds such as leg, diabetic and pressure ulcers, burns, and post operative wounds. The account manager is accountable for the management and growth of the defined business categories within Smith + Nephew - AWM in the assigned territory while providing outstanding services to our customers.

This role will cover AB and BC. The candidate should be located in Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton. This position will have a travel expectation of 30%-60%.

What will you be doing?

Using your expertise, you will convert clinicians/accounts by making sales calls and providing clinical case coverage in the operating room and community while also training clinicians on Smith+Nephew products through education/programs in your territory. This position will work collaboratively with key administrators and clinicians in hospitals, ASCs, LTC and Community Care. You will work cross-divisionally to increase awareness and adoption of products including the Advanced Wound Management product portfolio.

What will you need to be successful?

The foundation of your success relies on your technical expertise in the Advanced Wound Management portfolio. Your ability to build positive relationships with clinicians, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and hospital administration enhances access to customers to provide data-driven, trusted solutions. You will also develop an effective territory business plan to generate revenue and meet/exceed your quota.

Collaborative and dedicated teammates committed to partnering with all Smith+Nephew AWM, Reconstruction and Sports Medicine counterparts in the region to discover sales opportunities.

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum (2-5) years direct sales experience with experience in medical device industry preferred
  • Experience with selling technology and/or capital products to multiple call points.
  • Proven track record selling/converting business.
  • Proven success in achieving quota year over year.
  • Experience leading/mentoring team members and new sales representatives

Travel Requirements: 30-60%

All field sales professionals who are required to gain entry into healthcare facilities to perform the basic remit of their role must successfully complete the credentialing process and comply with the requirements of those facilities they support, which can include adherence to any established vaccine protocols.
