Job Summary:
As an Account Manager, your passion for growth and progress will contribute to our clients' success. In this role, you will develop consultative and trust-based relationships with your clients, enabling you to understand their needs and effectively communicate C1's ability to help them achieve their strategic objectives. You will play the long game, deepening our relationships, increasing utilization of existing solutions and identifying new products our clients can benefit from.
You will develop a deep understanding of your clients' strategy, market context, and needs while building close relationships across the organization. Through enthusiastic and motivating leadership, you will collaborate with your C1 partners, including Delivery, Marketing, and Product teams, to ensure value is delivered. You will set objectives and plan accordingly to achieve your targets.
Your success will be measured by your clients’ volume growth, as well as improvements in their economic efficiency. Ultimately, your work will contribute to maintaining choice for Canadians in their financial service providers by ensuring credit unions remain strong for the long-term.
What you'll be doing:

Contribute to strategic planning, identify new business opportunities, and build strong client relationships to drive business growth.

Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in the market landscape to identify potential opportunities and stay ahead of market shifts.

Prepare tailored proposals and presentations showcasing our products and services to attract and retain clients, tailoring solutions to their specific needs.

Align product lines with clients' go-to-market strategies and manage sales activities in the CRM system to optimize sales efforts and maintain accurate records.

Participate in contract negotiations, client relations management, and new business development to close deals, foster strong partnerships, and drive revenue growth.

Contribute to product development, market creation, and company vision by providing valuable insights and expertise to support strategic decision-making and innovation.

Attend industry events to promote products, collaborate with the marketing team to ensure alignment, and focus on customer retention strategies to reduce churn and foster loyalty.

What you'll have:

5-7 years of professional experience with a strong track record of sales performance in Financial Services
-
Proven experience establishing leadership-level relationships, with references from prior roles considered an asset

Demonstrated record of establishing partnerships and realizing customer and revenue opportunities

Experience with Proposal Management and RFP Processes/Best Practices

Ability to understand a customer’s business environment and challenges to identify profitable relationship opportunities

Good business acumen, including excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strategic and tactical thinking and planning capabilities

Strong negotiation skills and experience constructing contracts that mitigate risk and foster "win-win" relationships

Strong analytical skills, including forecasting, business insights, and P&L management

Ability to identify root causes of complex problems, generate creative solutions, and develop strategic plans

Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project

Understanding of payment systems and processes within the financial services industry

Salesforce certified administrator or Salesforce advanced administrator certification

Salary Range: $100,000-$110,000
The salary range represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
