WE ARE VERITONE LICENSING
Account Manager - East Coast Preferred
Veritone Licensing (VL) is a premier content licensing firm representing some of the biggest properties in sports, news and studio produced video content. Reporting to the VP of Sports Media and Commercial Partnerships, this Account Manager will grow accounts, heavily prioritize new revenue and uncover business opportunities in the ever-changing sports landscape through the licensing of Veritone’s media assets. The ideal, entrepreneurial minded candidate will be an immediate contributor and develop sales tactics and offerings tailormade for advertising agencies, brands, and corporate sponsors to help drive revenue growth for VL. WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Maintain high level of accountability for agreed upon, quarterly revenue goals

  • Generate new sales through daily, proactive outbound sales activity, i.e. account mapping, targeted prospecting, partner growth initiatives and marketing campaigns

  • Represent the company and effectively showcase the value proposition, differentiators and ROI of leveraging Veritone’s products and services through a variety of sales tactics 

  • Articulate Veritone partner sensitivities and restrictions to navigate licensing landscape and ensure client success

  • A keen ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-departmental complex projects at scale

  • Collaborate with Veritone vertical directors to help drive content licensing Go-to-Market strategy, awareness, collateral, pricing.

  • Negotiate licensing agreements and collaborate with Veritone Legal to draft agreements

  • Provide accurate revenue forecasting to executive leadership

  • Work closely with Veritone partners and clients to facilitate project approvals

  • Research, curate and deliver archived media to help drive client creative execution

  • Assist with client registrations, portal access, troubleshooting

‎ 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Related BS degree 

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in Sports, Business Development, Media Rights or Advertising Agency

  • Sports industry experience required - deep knowledge and understanding of the business of sports 

  • High comfort level with daily new client engagement and business development 

  • Ability to demonstrate successful account cultivation and revenue generation of ‘cold’ accounts

  • Willingness to go above and beyond to assist clients across all time zones, domestically and internationally

  • Ability to bring forward thinking attitude and innovation to the business

  • Positive disposition, strong willingness to ‘dig in’ and get hands dirty 

  • Creative negotiation skills, ability to execute against deadlines, and problem solving 

  • High proficiencies in media rights, data, and contract negotiation

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and face to face communication

This base pay is for illustrative purposes only and will be determined based on skills and experience comparable to the job requirements. This position may be eligible for additional compensation and benefits including but not limited to: incentive compensation; health benefits; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off; parental leave and benefits; and other employee perks and benefits.

*Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired in Colorado.
