Summary

Are you a high-performing Account Executive ready to take your career to the next level? Do you have the ambition to grow into a sales leader while driving measurable results as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, startup environment?
In this founder-led startup, reporting into the VP, Sales & Marketing, you’ll collaborate directly with leadership to execute a defined sales motion and play a key role in driving predictable revenue. This person is eager to keep up, study their approaches, match their product expertise, and dare we say, meet or exceed their performance. We’re looking for someone who is self-sufficient, comfortable managing a pipeline end to end, and able to execute strategy with minimal guidance. You know how to stay organized, move deals forward independently, and adapt quickly as the business grows.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through independent prospecting, networking, and strategic relationship-building.
  • Own the sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring tailored solutions align with client needs.
  • Use a consultative approach to understand client requirements, present solutions that align with our company’s core values. 
  • Drive expansion of the existing book of business while identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities to exceed sales targets.
  • Stay up to date on market behaviours, trends, and relevant industries such as SaaS, MSPs, and payments gateways to better support client needs.
  • Contribute to sales systems and process improvements while working alongside founders to refine strategies.
  • Build lasting client relationships by engaging empathetically, professionally, and as an expert throughout the whole sales process. 
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences, strengthening the company’s presence in the marketplace.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven sales experience with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding targets in B2B environments.
  • Strong sales expertise with a deep understanding of sales principles and the ability to translate technical solutions into tangible business value.
  • Background in SaaS, MSPs, or payment solutions with a consultative approach to client engagement.
  • Exceptional discovery skills to identify business challenges and craft comprehensive solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building trusted client relationships.
  • Self-motivated and organized professional with a proven ability to adapt to changing client needs and priorities.
  • Familiarity with the needs of accountants and business owners,
    understanding their challenges and pain points.
  • Previous success in founder-led, start-up organizations, thriving in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism, with a commitment to delivering measurable results.
  • Bonus! Deep understanding of small-to-medium business needs, particularly in invoicing and payment challenges. 

Nice to have skills and knowledge

  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and/or Xero is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience with payment gateways and/or credit card merchant accounts is a plus.
  • Bonus if you are bilingual - English & French.
