As a pro-active Account Executive with Paladin Technologies, you will be responsible for achieving sales revenue goals, developing and maintaining valued customer relationships, expanding the company’s current customer base, and developing and maintaining professional selling skills. Your business development skills combined with your technical knowledge of the market and clients within the industry will lead to success. Your business acumen and ability to communicate with stakeholders and effectively identify opportunities will be crucial to ensuring the success of our client engagements. 
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Drive new client acquisition through targeted prospecting, networking, market engagement, and consistent outreach to grow the Company’s client base.
  • Build, strengthen, and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring trust, satisfaction, consistent communication, and strategic account growth.
  • Identify client security and technology requirements and clearly communicate how the Company’s solutions meet operational, compliance, and business needs.
  • Prepare professional proposals, RFP responses, and bid packages that clearly articulate the Company’s value, competitive advantages, and alignment with margin and operational requirements.
  • Develop and execute a proactive follow-up strategy for all prospects, ensuring timely communication, proposal tracking, and revenue pipeline advancement.
  • Maintain ongoing engagement with clients to assess satisfaction, support future needs, solicit referrals, and assist in resolving overdue account matters when necessary.
  • Promote and secure Service Contracts, including renewals, upgrades, and 2nd-year agreements tied to system enhancements or replacements.
  • Identify and propose equipment upgrades, system expansions, and promotional offerings to increase client value and generate additional revenue.
  • Present final contract documentation to clients and ensure all requirements—retainers, taxes, invoicing details, project scope—are complete and accurate.
  • Complete sales orders, scopes of work, and associated project documentation in compliance with Company procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure timely, efficient, and profitable installations that meet or exceed client expectations and Company standards.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Project Managers regarding project status, open issues, change orders, and required close-out documentation.
  • Represent the Company in a professional, business-like manner in all interactions to maximize client satisfaction and reinforce the Company’s reputation.
  • Stay current on industry standards, emerging technologies, and Company product offerings; participate in manufacturer and technical training as needed.
  • Engage positively and proactively with colleagues across all departments to enhance customer satisfaction, support operational efficiency, and meet profitability goals.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to all client and internal inquiries, ensuring clear communication and dependable follow-through.
  • Adhere to Company policies, procedures, and safety standards, ensuring the safety of self and others at all times.
  • Participate in networking events, industry associations, and business functions that support Company visibility, values, and growth objectives.
  • Provide accurate and timely activity reports as required by management.
  • Be available to support client or business needs outside regular working hours when necessary.
  • Maintain and protect all assigned Company assets, equipment, and resources.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years industry experience
  • Extensive sales experience in a technical environment, ideally from the integrated security, networking/data cabling and/or commercial audio-visual industries
  • Experience selling complex integrated solutions involving access control, CCTV, intrusion systems, structured cabling, corporate AV, or other related systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience selling into related sectors including gaming, healthcare, industrial construction, government, education, defense, utilities 
  • Knowledge of the following technologies is required: IP networks, low voltage electronics, power and communications, Windows XP or 7 workstations, Microsoft Office products 
  • Experience with the following technologies is an asset: Access Control, CCTV (IP), Intrusion Systems, Client-Servicer security applications, MS SQL databases, Server and Storage Infrastructure.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English, (i.e. see, hear, speak and write clearly) in order to communicate with colleagues and/or customers 
  • Manual dexterity required for occasional reaching, lifting of light office objects, and operating office equipment 
  • Sitting, standing, walking in office environments and construction sites 
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet) 

WORKING CONDITIONS:  In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 
  • The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated.  Noise levels are considered low to moderate.
  • Will be required to be on site with customers or contractors, with or without Paladin colleagues to manage the expectations and deliverables. Sites range from general office environments to new construction. 
  • Driving to customer sites is required 
  • Limited overnight travel may be required 

Pay: $65,000 - $95,000 + commission (DOE)
