Vice President of Sales, Commercial
What You Will Be Doing

We’re looking for a driven and results-oriented Account Executive to accelerate growth by identifying, engaging, and securing new customers. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in expanding our footprint across key industries by developing strategic relationships and turning prospects into long-term clients. You thrive in building pipeline from the ground up, navigating complex sales cycles, and closing high-impact deals.

This is a role for someone who takes the initiative, enjoys opening new doors, and knows how to create value where others see barriers. You’ll be supported by a cross-functional team, but you lead the charge, bringing our solutions to new markets and decision-makers.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

You bring a hunter mindset and a strong track record of closing enterprise or large commercial deals. You know how to uncover customer pain points, translate them into compelling business cases, and confidently engage C‑suite stakeholders. Your ability to manage complex sales processes, align internal resources, and execute with discipline will directly contribute to ChargePoint’s continued growth and leadership in sustainable mobility.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of B2B sales experience with consistent quota attainment in enterprise or commercial markets
  • Proven ability to prospect, build pipeline, and close complex, multi-stakeholder deals
  • Strong executive communication skills with experience selling to C‑suite decision-makers
  • Experience managing opportunities, forecasts, and pipelines in Salesforce (or similar CRM)
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory for customer and partner engagement

Preferred Skills
  • Experience selling into fleet operations, energy/CRE, automotive, or adjacent industries
  • Familiarity with EV solutions, energy infrastructure, or sustainability-focused technologies
  • Experience supporting RFPs, RFQs, and enterprise procurement processes
  • Understanding of energy policies, incentives, or funding programs (e.g., IRA, utility rebates)
  • Experience collaborating with channel or partner-led go-to-market motions
