Owns end-to-end verification control programs across products and geographies. Responsibilities include designing and testing first-line-of-defense controls, assessing effectiveness, supporting transaction monitoring and incident response, using automation and AI, translating risk insights into technical requirements, maintaining audit readiness, and leading initiatives across verification, sanctions, and FinCrime programs. The role partners extensively with product, engineering, analytics, compliance, and operations teams.

Lead technical strategy and architecture for Remitly’s Customer Success Technology systems. Build scalable frontend, backend, workflow, and agentic AI solutions that improve customer and support-agent experiences. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers; establish engineering standards; troubleshoot reliability and performance issues; and guide large feature development across complex software systems.

Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services and APIs for a customer data platform running on AWS. Drive technical design, system reliability, performance, production readiness, and technical debt reduction. Break down complex initiatives, mentor engineers, conduct code and design reviews, and collaborate with stakeholders across teams. Work with distributed systems, relational and non-relational databases, and high-availability production services.
