The Mechanical Engineer will manage mechanical design for mining projects, including equipment selection, quality control, and technical specifications oversight.

Manage end-to-end procurement for mining/construction projects: source and tender packages, develop and administer contracts, control costs using JDE, maintain supplier relationships, produce procurement reports, ensure compliance with policies and project procurement plans, and use e-tendering and document management systems for collaboration.

Develop and maintain EPCM project schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Analyze critical path activities, integrate subcontractor and supplier schedules, track project progress, and recommend corrective actions. Prepare forecasts, progress reports, earned value analyses, S-curves, milestone updates, and scope-change impact assessments. Collaborate with procurement teams on expediting activities and participate in schedule reviews and stakeholder meetings.

Design mechanical equipment and plant layouts for mineral processing and heavy industrial projects, from conceptual design through detailed engineering. Create 3D designs and technical drawings, review deliverables for accuracy and compliance, support project teams, follow change-management and quality processes, and meet schedule, quality, and client expectations.

Lead global engineering governance, systems and standards; drive adoption of digital engineering, data and AI capabilities; align processes and tools for scalable delivery; use performance data to improve predictability and quality; govern software vendors and investments; partner with regional leaders to improve commercial and delivery outcomes.

Executive leader responsible for Sedgman’s Americas strategy, growth, client relationships, project delivery governance, P&L performance, risk management, and operational execution. The role focuses on expanding minerals processing and critical minerals work across North and South America, developing partnerships and acquisitions, strengthening senior leadership capability, and ensuring compliant, profitable, and sustainable regional performance.
