Lead the architecture, development, scaling, and production operation of Chainguard’s malware scanning platform. Build detection-quality measurement systems, high-throughput scanning pipelines, verdict APIs, customer investigation and policy services, and reliable production infrastructure. Partner with Product Security to productionize threat detections, ensure performance and correctness, manage incidents, and improve observability. Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across Product, Security, Design, and GTM.

Build and maintain automation systems for package creation, testing, and container image generation. Develop Go-based CLI tools, services, and integrations, along with AI- and LLM-powered pipelines for manifest generation, test scaffolding, and validation. Create quality tooling, evaluation loops, and security gates while contributing to system architecture and roadmap planning. Collaborate with distributed engineering teams across North America, Europe, and India.

Lead Chainguard's vulnerability pipeline: measure, disclose, and report thousands of novel vulnerabilities; run CNA/CVE processes; coordinate embargoes; work with industry bodies, customers, and AI model vendors to shape disclosure standards.

Lead architecture and implementation of Chainguard's Repository platform: design, build, and operate high-availability Go backend services and package registries. Drive scalability, reliability, observability, and load testing; make technical decisions on service boundaries and operations; collaborate across teams; and mentor engineers to deliver a unified artifact-serving experience.
